Very nice museum , my father was soldier of Soviet army so it was nice to see how people imagined each other 50 years ago. Nice bunkers and submarine. Can touch everything

Visited with a friend from England. Great that there were a lot of descriptions in English. We were there 2 1/2 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a lot to see. Lots of places to eat a packed lunch in good or bad weather.

We had an interesting visit with lots of good information.
It was fun to actually be inside a submarine and see what it was like to live there back then.
I also like the fact that younger children have free admittance as this is a very important history lesson

Quite an exhibition, lot of things to see. Every bunker has a theme around the cold war. Impressive, but too bad a lot is in Danish.

It gets under your skin - the closeness in time and distance - of the cold war. Great place to feel it - with impressive collection of submarine, tanks, rocket launchers, etc. Great place in this out-of-the-way area.

A historical place which played in the cold war quite a role. Interesting for kids as well. IN the summer the Danish military offered tank tours for kids. Was quite fun and the first time I could show mine real weapons and discuss a bit. Of course like many small-village-museums they did not focus on their theme so there is also a Berlin wall imitation as well as Trabant (East German Cars) and even an old MIG (polish) which are not really connected to the Langelandsfort.

Blokes and kids will certainly love this place. It's so hands on and very interesting. I couldn't believe I was allowed to go inside a submarine, sit on and rotate a gun battery and play with buttons and handles ha ha.
The history is fascinating and just walking around the big gun displays was quite something. Total boys own stuff, just glad it never got used for anything serious otherwise I probably wouldn't be writing this review now.

Housed in a former military base, this museum is great fun for anybody interested in recent/military history. The theme of the museum is the cold war, in which the site itself played a part - it was here the Russian ships carrying missiles to Cuba were first spotted.
There's plenty to see, the highlights being the submarine, gun batteries and the bunkers - there are also a couple of jet fighters, a patrol boat and a number of exhibitions. The setting is wonderful, a large area out in the beautiful countryside of south Langeland, with views over the sea. A very "hand on museum" and great fun for kids.

This attraction was one of the main reasons we came to this part of Denmark, and it certainly didn't let us down.
The museum is baesd in what was a Cold War Danish coastal artillery battery. 4 Coastal guns, a command bunker and some anti aircraft artillery comprised the unit and it's all still here. The control bunker is as it was in the cold war - not the largest or deepest bunker it is nonetheless atmospheric with a lot of electronic equipment (Concidering the Fort was in use up to the 90s some very dated for that time).
There are 4 guns - a couple of which one can clamber on and go into their own crew bunkers which are fascinating in their own right.
A real highlight is a Cold War Submarine visitors can walk through (Suoer stuff). In a couple of nissen huts there are 2 Jet Fighters - a MiG 23 of the Polish Air Force and a SAAB Drakken.
There is an old Ammunition Bunker with a display on Cold War Politics and Civil Defence and a bunker housing electrical supply for the site.
All this and a really nice little shop selling souveniers, Ice Creams etc etc etc and very friendly staff. We spent 3 very enjoyable hours here and it was only the place closing that meant we left - could have spent 4 or 5. Brilliant Attraction.

Here you can visit a real submarine from the inside. You experience how cramped the soldiers lived there. Really impressive. Really exciting also the bunkers and reports.
