Nice beach with amazing colours. I paid 7€ at the beach bar for an umbrella with two chairs and extra 2,50€ for a coffee. The day i went it was very windy so i didnt enjoy the sea as much as i would like. There were some rocks inside the water so wouldn't recommend this beach to families with little children.

The Milia (Appletree) Beach is accessible by bus from Skopelos Town in 35 minutes. From the stop on the main road it is a walk of 10 minutes on a small road through a beautiful pine forest to the Milia tavern and then again 5 minutes to the beach. The beach area to the right is taken over by the Milia Apartments, so if one is not staying there, one has to go left. First comes a stretch with sunbeds and umbrellas and a beach bar at the back..

Further out it is pure beach with more fine pebbles than sand. This part never seems to get really crowded. Fun for some, a bit annoying for others are the water sports that are offered here with an office tent a bit at the back. It is possible to go water skiing or to sit with others in a quite big rubber ring that gets pulled over the waves by a motorboat. The most unpleasant for some quiet are the noisy water scooters, but at least we never heard any music.

Because of all this boat and scooter activitiy there is a line with floating red balls about 100 meters from beach, which marks the outer limit for swimmers. To get into the water one has to be aware that it gets deep quite quickly. After about 4 meters one cannot stand anymore, thus it is not the ideal beach for small children.

This is one of my favourite beaches in Skopelos!

Crystal clear waters and an amazing green forest leading to the beach. The colour of the beach is unique, the blue of the sea is mixing perfectly with the green colour of the trees.

Parts of this beach are covered by sunbeds, whereas other parts are available to just lay down on the sand. There is a beach bar where you can have cold beers or cocktails on one side, and a sandwich van for a snack on the other side.

Tip: If you swim towards the left side of the beach, you end up in a secluded small beach (20 metres width) which can only be approached by the sea!

The water is amazing for swimming, it is so clear you can see all fish from the top without wearing a mask.

But most importantly!! Do stay until the sun goes down to experience the most amazing sunset on the island, watching the sun dive in the sea, right next to a small island which is opposite this beach.

Definitely a must visit if you are in Skopelos!

Nice waters but full of rocks. I think there is only one spot without rocks right infront of the beach bar . This beach is so close to kastani so you better visit kastani instead of milia

Milia is more natural than its neighbour Kastani. Pebbles and stone plates like in other places make it more difficult to enter the water. The beach is organized. You can rent sunbeds. A beach service is available. Some sporting activities are offered further down the beach. Parking is limited.

When you arrive at the Beach hold left and og past the entrance of the restaurant. Keep going for 50 meters until you get to the Beach where a charming Family is serving Food and drinks from a caravan. Great service and the best ever Greek salad!!
This is a Beach that maintains the Greek Island feeling

Considering the crowds of tourists in Skopleos in high season, this is the only large and easy one where you can still find a nice, quiet spot for yourself, especially on the right side of it. And it's worth it, because it has a a wonderful panorama, a nice coast to swim along, and a good taverna in the back. Don't think you can escape the wasps, though, that are just as many as everywhere else in Skopelos.

From the bus stop it’s a long trek down the winding road to the beach. Once there you have a pebble beach, a bit sharper underfoot than Panormos beach. Also a much gentler slope meaning you can reach the bottom for a greater distance out. Good shape to the beach means you can find a sheltered area if the winds blowing a little. Crystal clear waters the same as all the beaches we visited on Scopolos.

Decent snorkelling especially around the little island.

Lifeguard on duty while we where there.

But further on the local bus but one not to be missed. Most beaches are pebbles so beach shoes needed both on sand and in the clear blue waters. One of the least crowd but with facilities for those who appreciate a sun bed and umbrellas. Like all beaches. Cost approx 7E for Two for the day
