Beautiful little beach with the clearest waters I have ever seen. It does get busy with Mama Mia pilgrims, some boats strand themselves onto the beach. Not many facilities here and it is a bit of a climb to get off it.

A gorgeous place and a must to see. We walked from Glossa to Agios Ioannis beach and climbed up to the chapel. It was a magnificent walk and only took us an hour and a half. The beach was clean and beautiful. The sunlounges were...More

the beach is just next to the Mama Mia chapel the view and the cliffs around it make this beach a jewel itself downsides: it’s small, it gets shady early in the afternoon

We saw the beach only after we visited Agios Ioannis chapel on the 27th of August. It is a small beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. We saw many people for that small beach. I believe if you want to swim you should go there quite...More

Crowded due to the fact that sailboats and tourist vessels anchor there, the beach is small and too much organized, seabeds and umbrelas, not clean, when the weather is windy (north) there are waves. It is worth climbing to the mamma mia cliff , saintJohn...More

We made a special last minute trip to see this area. Absolutely gorgeous! And even being terrified of heights, I made it all the way up. Beautiful views, great experience. The way TO and FROM this location is challenging, but worth it 110%.

The famous Mama mia chappel upon the beach contributes to the magic of Agios Ioannis beach. Crystal clear water , great view. Do not forget to visit the chappel! There are too many stairs to climb but it really worths it.

With the iconic Mama Mia chapel up the rocks and the picturesque, well hidden, little beach, Agios Ioannis is a must-see for Skopelos island. Having said that, it's not a place easily accessible for everybody. The little path going down to the beach is steep...More

Hallo, we did not have there any ceremony. We just had a look at the peninsula. My advice: look for a real cosy hotel in Skopelos with a splendid view over the bay like Thea Home Hotel which we had. It is family run: father... More
