The archeological museum of Patras is a real jewel not widely known to visitors. Like Olympia it is in my view a necessary step for all those that want to discover classical and pre-classical Greece.

The Archaeological Museum of Patras is very organised, nicely exposed items, with very impressive Roman mosaics and pottery, of a period of more than 3000 years.

I was expecting a bigger museum with more interactive options (e.g. tablets). This museum is essential for the culture of the city.

What a gem. One of the nicest museums. Everything is laid out beautifully. The artifacts from the area and Mycenaean cemetery are so well preserved. Gives great history of area. 5 star!
