This is an excellent museum that will help you make sense of either what you have seen or will see on the archaeological site of Olympia. The winged victory (Nike) is particularly impressive when you remember the pillar on the site on which it had...More

The archaelogical museum in the area of ancient Olympia gives a good introduction to the history of Greece and the Greek, not only the olympic games. There are many statues and parts of them as well as other objects from many thousands of years ago...More

Very fitting way to get a better understanding of the site. Well set out with a lot of information about the site. Also some of the statues and artifacts that were found on the site are preserved in this modern building. A must see if...More

This is a great museum. It is better than expected. There are some great Greek pieces here that should not be missed. The crowds can get large here but they seem to be large tours that move through the building with gaps between them. They...More

When the excavation site of Olympia is something for more prepared guests, the museum is fabulous and prepared for everyone who is interested in classical art and history. Most impressive for me was the very modern design of the exhibition of the remains of the...More

Very nice museum to make a image of ancient Olympia. Mainly central hall with fragments of statues is amazing. Take a time to visit this museum (minimum 1 and half hour). During our visit was canteen out of order.

The museum is wonderful, but seems to have lost something with the Greek crisis. There is no cafeteria or place where you can buy water. A single machine with no pure water option can be found locally. The staff were more attentive to their cellphones...More

I enjoyed visiting the museum before visiting the site. It is not that large a museum but it contains many statues and inscriptions on stone that were found at the site. Note that there are no bathrooms in the building. They are in the building...More

We did the Olympia excursion and thoroughly enjoyed it. It does take up most of the day but is WELL worth it. The historical and cultural exposure is fantastic. I learned a ton of new things! Katakolon is a fine little... More

That is a question that the Museum would have to answer. I would suggest you contact them directly. Check their web site.
