Most ruins are a bit destroyed, so it is difficult to know what you are looking at. It is mostly just the destroyed temples. The information provided is helpful. It might have been better with a tour guide to explain what we were looking at.

Awesome!A site whose history affected humanity and Great Ideas were born!Do not forget to visit also the archaeological museum with the assistance of a licensed tour guide and -if you have more time-the museum of Olympic Games' History.Definitely,a life experience .

There is a full day to be spent here at Ancient Olympia. Upon entry, pick up your pamphlet, which is full of information on all of the sites, the museum and a mud map of the whole area. From the Gymnasium, the Crypt, the Temple...More

Has a lot of neat history behind the ancient ruins , but if you don't have a guide, it'll seem like you're looking at a pile of rocks. Also, the buildings have not been restored in the slightest so it is somewhat hard to picture...More

Olympia was the location of one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world and although time has taken its 2700 year toll it is a wonderful place to visit ESPECIALLY if you allow plenty of time for the onsite museum which is mindblowing.

Such an awe inspiring site. It helped that there was shade as it is a large site with lots to see and take in. The museum is a must, all in all very well worth the journey

It was quite a long drive through a somewhat unprepossessing landscape from our hotel near Kyllini. We parked in town, the roads lined with souvenir shops mostly and made our way down to the site, not really knowing what to expect. It is of course...More

This was a nice archeological site that includes the location of the original stadium and other buildings and temples. It is pretty impressive to see the immense size of the stadium where people would watch the races. Overall, it takes about 1.5 hours to explore...More

Whilst the site itself can not help but be impressive, there is no map provided to explain a route around or indicate where the different parts are. We went in the late afternoon and it was virtually empty. We saw it at midday the next...More

This place is of immense historical significance, but seems a little under-funded. It is a must see, but i think could be much better presented and information made more readily available. Having said that, my whole family were fascinated and appreciated the freedom to wander...More

As mentioned, go when the facility opens. It will give you time to wander in peace and take it the sites. The walking is easy...no hills. Please allow time to visit the museum. Tour groups can be an issue. People are running... More

Hello, the site is amazing, you should allocate a morning visiting the site, there are 3 museums on site, refreshments are available in one of the museum, sensible shoes should be worn.
