About
An unforgettable excursion to the family winery Olympia Land Estate which is into the green valley of Olympia and just 5 minutes from the archaeological site. The particular terroir of the region, the excellent microclimate, the clayey and sandy soil help our vines to grow healthy and very aromatic grapes in order to produce high quality wines. In the Olympia Land Estate you have the opportunity to be part in a tour which start with a walk on the vineyards where you learn about the cultivation of the vines, continue in the production area and finally in the cellar with the oak barrels. After the tour you will enjoy samples of our wines, our homemade olive oil and also other traditional snacks in the air-conditioned reception area. We are on your disposal to help you to organize quickly and easily your excursion which will be for you a memorable experience.

- NikkiF340Amsterdam, The Netherlands22 contributionsBeautiful, warm and great wineMy extended family of 11 people went to this winery as a tour from our cruise. It was nine years ago, and I still think about it. The family treats you like family. Wonderful wine and food served with lots of laughs and love. The wine was amazing. If I ever make it back, I am getting a case of whatever red they have.Visited March 2022Written February 7, 2023
- TravelerSGDimitsana, Greece3 contributionsGreece Wining! The family owned estate gives you a short tour showing the property and tells you all you want to know about the grapes and olives and the processes of making and bottling wine and olive oil. This is followed by a wine tasting where you get to sample some of their produce with some bites as a nice palete cleanser. Our favorite was the EkecheiriaVisited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 1, 2023
- Joseph A7 contributionsFun and TastyWe were staying overnight and wanted to see some local wineries after a visit to the Olympic sites in the area. This was by far the best winery we stopped in, which is a small family winery, rich in history. Sometimes it's not the big places that are most impressive, but the local wineries in different areas. I'm not a wine drinker, my wife is, but I really enjoyed the sampling of wines at this location. This is a must do stop.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 11, 2023

Unfortunately, this is WAY overpriced for what it is. The staff are very friendly and received a good 10min introduction to the winery. However, 20 euros is a lot of money for 5 tastings that add up to less than 1 glass, and a small plate. Would rate much higher if it was below 10 euros - looks like they receive lots of tour buses so those people wouldn't realise how much it is!

We went to this winery as part of a ship excursion. The "tour" was very short, just a brief overview inside the building, but that was fine with us. We sat at a table in the shade and sampled five different wines, along with some cheese, fruit, olive, etc. A very enjoyable stop.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stop at Olympia Land Winery with Amanda. The wines were delicious. As were the olive oil, olives, grape syrup, and cookies. The plate of food that Amanda served us with the wine tasting was delicious and the perfect accompaniment to the wines and olive oil. We bought four different wines that we enjoyed throughout the rest of our vacation in Greece. We also bought olive oil, olives, and grape syrup to take home. We bought a bag of cookies, which we enjoyed along with the wine. We loved meeting Amanda and learning all about her family’s wine making and olive oil production. The winery is a must-stop during any visit to Olympia.

Visited this vineyard on a cruise day in Katakolo and it was perfect. One of the owners gave us a tour of the entire facility then chatted with us during our wine tasting. Tried four or five wines along with a great snack plate. Finished with a small drink of raki (I believe that was the beverage). The grounds are beautiful and picked up some olive oil to take home, as well.

If I remember correctly, it wasn't anymore than 10 euros per person.. Maybe even less to take a tour around their winery while the nice hostess lady taught us about how their wine is done... Then to go into their dining area for some meats, cheeses to snack over several different glasses of red & white wine was definately a great steal and wonderful way to try wine! And let me say... I am very surprised I enjoyed all their wine sooo much more than the wine tasting tour I had in Tuscany, Florence, Italy!! I even brought their olive oil which is the absolute best I've ever had and their Arethousa White Wine !! Every single wine here was superb and so was the people from the winery!

We hired a private guide for the day and they suggested we do a tour of this winery with a wine tasting. I am so grateful they recommended this place to us. The moment we drove up, I knew we were in for a treat! The grounds are beautiful, and perfectly maintained. The wine was delicious, some of the best we have had. Red, and white were both wonderful. We ended up buying 3 bottles. Amanda was our hostess, pouring the wine and serving us tapas. She was a beautiful soul, you can tell this family really takes pride in what they do, and what they serve. I am still dreaming of the grandpa's amazing tomatoes we tasted. The sweetest tomato I ever tasted, and the tapas they served were all from their garden. I wanted to cry it was so good! We would come back in a heart beat!

We were so happy our guide took us to the lovely Olympia Land Winery after our visit to the ruins at Olympia. The vines were bursting with grapes and we happily tasted them while hearing an explanation of the wine making process. The winery is relatively new and very nice. Our guide explained the entire process from harvesting to bottling and our tour included both a view of their fields and an inside look where they press the grapes and bottle the wines. Afterwards we sat down for the tasting and were served 4 types of wine and a plate of their homemade delicacies. We loved our visit and highly recommend this winery.

Hi, thinkin. What would you like to know about this attraction? I will be stopping in Olympia, Greece on a cruise. I enjoyed reading your review of the winery. Did you rent a taxi to visit the winery ? If yes, what was the cost from your location ( please specify). Thanks

Hi!
We rented a private taxi tour to take us to Olympia and it was a suggestion of the owner’s company to go to the winery after visiting Olympia. We paid 100 euros to take us from Katakolon port to Olympia, to the winery and take us back to the port. We settled everything by email some weeks before our cruise. They have provided a very good service with a very comfortable vehicle and a nice driver. You can reach them by searching katakolo2olympia.

It was very inexpensive. Under $10 euro. I did it on my own as a part of a full day tour with George Taxi service.
Brought home wine, olive oil, cookies all made on site at the winery. Amazing tastes!!! They also give you a small food plate to taste of their homegrown cheese, tomatoes, olives, olive oil, bread, cookie, wine, etc.
Highly recommend this winery!
You cannot make your own wine.
