Under the shadows of the site of the ancient Olymic Games the olympic spirit and the light of the olympic sun and the olympic torch everyone can experience a great adventure on the waters of Alfeios river. Very well equiped, lots of fun, great waters especially at summer. The nature will pay off all your expectations. The stuff provides anything you might need and after the rafting they offer tasty local grapes and figs.

What a great experience! Despite the heatwave we had a great time joining that wonderful team. Well prepared and ready to answer our questions. My favorite part of the adventure was the race between the two boats 😁 Friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Our photos and videos on their way the same day.

After suffering the heat walking around the olympic stadium, we decided to go rafting to cool down. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and great with the kids. The tempo was leisurely, and easy to follow for us and the kids (8, 9 and 11). The views were amazing, and halfway we had a lovely stop for swimming. All in all, they did everything to gove us an unforgettable experience, and we loved every minute of it!

10 minutes from ancient Olympia, we found the camp of Olympia Adventure Club. We tried the rafting tour, which is ideal for beginners .There are a few rapids and whitewater spots, it was cool. The ride duration is approximately 1.45-2 hours and includes an introductory lesson, swimming in the river (optional but I recommend it, it is much fun and the water temperature is perfect) and some paddling. They provide the equipment wich includes paddles, helmets, life jackets and, as I saw in the camp, neopren suits which are useless at this time of year because the weather was hot, so we didn`t need them. It is recommended to have your own athletic or trekking shoes and keep in mind that they will get wet.The starting point is about 10-15 minutes from the camp in the forest of `Louvro` and they transport you there through a dust road of medium difficulty with the club`s SUV s . The natural environment is fantastic with wild olives and other trees of the greek nature and is a sightseeing itself. The river is Alpheus, the mythological river that crosses Olympia and the largest in Peloponese. Although in the middle of the summer, the water level was good . There was cold water, fruits and beer in the end for energy resupply! In general it was a memorable brief escape in nature, I highly recommend it . The staff are hospitable and experienced. They had waterproof cameras and sent us the photos and videos via google drive and dropbox. Good work, next year we`ll try the hydrospeed!
