About
Ancient Temple dedicated to Zeus. Recently opened new museum section financed bythe Greek Government & EEC grant. Open daily (except Monday). Some access for disabled visitors. Sign posted and only 2 km from the main Mytilene to Kalloni road.

We had it all to ourselves as it is not well advertised and even the locals are unsure of its existence. Wonderfully peaceful in the 400bc remains which are still under excavation.

Nice spot on the way to Kaloni, worthy to stop if you like architecrure. Peaceful and calm. Entrance just 2 euro. We were alone here, no other tourists.
