A must drive to this area as it also has the only Dessert in Europe adjacent. Can de accessed by car carefully but a 4 x 4 would be advisable. Gomati has a sandy beach, rare in north of Island. The Dessert is signposted as Ammothines, a 2km ride from Gomaki. What a treat awaits you on arrival. Take a good supply of water as no amenities were available in September 20.

This is a beautiful beach water is crystal clear great view across the beach it’s busy on weekends but during the week is the best time the drive is definitely worth it there is a beach bar there staff are very friendly so after you explore the sand dunes and your covered in sand go down for a refreshing swim then have a relaxing drink at the beach bar.

Large beach, great crystal clear water, there is an old war tank right on the hill. This beach is surrounded by sand dunes and if you go there, you should definitely visit Flomari restaurant.

Really I m not sure why this beach supposed to be "a must visit place". It s a beach like all others in Lemnos. Moreover I can't characterize the access so easy. And if the weather is windy, it s not recommended!!

Great Beach combine this with a visit to the Limnos desert, the beautiful natural sand dunes in the North part of the island, after 4 KM of good drivable dirt road you will end up at a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal clear waters.
From the beach you have view at Samotraki and Tenedos islands in the North

A great combination would be to visit the sand dunes and right after the beach in order to relax. It is like you are in a desert and you can see all the different plants in comparison with the residual island.the photos taken from the sand dunes are amazing. On the other hand, the sea is quite shallow (that I don't like it that much) but there is enough space on the beach to play beach volley.it is also organized so you can have a coffee. Perfect trip for families or a group of friends.

We have visited this beach in summer 2016. Back then it was fool of beached garbage from the sea, unfortunately. Otherwise, they try to keep the part of the beach with sunbeds clean. Very nice send dunes close to this beach, maybe 10 min by car.

This is a great beach. Wonderful setting, crystal clear waters, nice snack bar in the back.
The last stretch of the drive is a dirt road, but easy to drive on.
The water is shallow in the first 20 -30 meters or so, so this is also safe for younger kids.
