this is probably the most beautiful site of Thessaloniki centre, full of history and tradition some of the shops are there for decades. worth just sit still and soak the atmosphere of the square. also there is an excellent view of Aristotelous from the roof terrace bar of the Electra Palace .

Went for a stroll along the strip and everything was so live! When I went, there were people dancing and some type of CPR course at the stadium. A lot of stores and cafes/restaurants along this strip. Good spot for people watch or just a stroll

When in Thessaloniki, do not forget to visit the Square. Aristotelous used to be even more glamorous shopwise prior to the recession; yet, it still is, along with the White Tower, among the city's great landmarks. Luxury hotel Electra Palace with its top floor views of the square, open air cafes, little shops, my favorite record and CD shop Stereodisc... More

So much to see ! Shopping and eating and drinking - oh yeah! I want to stop and buy at every shop, and sit and drink and people watch from every angle. So much to do, so little time and how will I fit it all in my suitcase ?

this is the city's main square with great architecture all around. Great cafes and restaurants all around with plenty of outside seating where you can enjoy Greek skies and sun.

Interesting place by the seaside, with beautiful buildings and it's often crowded in the evening with youngsters.

This would be the epicentre of the city with everything you need, bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels, waterfront, market a couple of minutes away at the most.

I arrived in Thessaloniki yesterday and this morning someone near Aristotelous Square opened my handbag and took out my purse with all my credit cards in, apparently it happens all the time in Thessaloniki. The police weren't interested so watch your bags all th.e time. As for the banks helping, they are totally hopeless, never rely on them to send... More
