The saure was the brainchild of French architect who re-designed the layout of Thessaloniki after the fire of 1917.
The square is the cities point of attraction on an evening, where young and old gather alike. Vibrant. The square has many restraunts and up-market hotels

Number one square in Thessaloniki. This is the meeting point in Thessaloniki. Most of the tourists and locals start their walks from Aristotelous Square for White tower area, or for ladadika area or just visiting area to enjoy the nice café/bars that are really good.

Very popular spot for anyone visiting Thessaloniki.
The funny part is that the land is sloping. So you really have the feeling that you're heading to the sea ;)
Not to be missed for sure but do spend time in the whole city as it is a great city to visit & enjoy.

Central location of the city, full of restaurants and cafes. Nothing special to see or be excited about but still Important to visit and impossible to miss.
The square lead to the most recommended places to visit in the city. The famous Tsimiski street with all the shops of the famous brands, clothes, footwear, jowls, cosmetics and more.

A bright, open space, with lots of people, and on saturday night, lots of activity and music. A great place to stop and take family photos. We were there during the winter holidays and it was decorated for the season, and a fun place to hang out.

Aristotelous Square is my favourite street in Thessaloniki. It is in the city centre and is so long for walking. There are much restaurants, coffee shops and hotels. It leads to the sea. The pics are from 05th of July 2014.

After a tour of the city they left us off in the square and it was nice enough. Not too much to do except eat at one of the many restaurants or shop. We found an amazing bakery there, made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Plus they were reasonable in price. A little further down you can stroll along the water promenade which was very pretty.

'The' square in Thessaloniki and in November firmly in the hands of the Greeks. Central location and everything nearby. Cafés, luxury hotels, the sea and the city's shopping mile. Good connection to the bus system. If you visit Thessaloniki, you can't miss this square.

Buzzy square with numerous cafes and restaurants to enjoy the view! The only square in the world that smells of cake and pastry! An outstanding view on the terrace on top of Electra Palace hotel, and do not miss the bakery on the square, it draws you in with the smell.

A very relaxing square but be careful of a continual stream of people seeking money. I felt sorry for them but you really have to watch your belongings . Lots of pigeons and a vast selection of nearby cafés, you're spoilt for choice !
