As markets go, it’s worth a visit as you never know what’s install for you. If you want fresh fish, meat, cows feet and fruit then this is the place to go. Plenty of leather shops and clothes. An enjoyable morning watching the market unfold...More

Is better to visit after 10 AM, all stands will be open. Always ask to tasting, they are different taste for feta for ex. If you chose to rent an apartment like I did, you can buy lamb chops or fish to cook them home....More

The most hidden of the three city marketplaces that I stumbled upon, this is also the one that offers more in the way of foodstuff. Really picturesque, it extends in streets with stands and in the passages of a building.

Busy market visited my tourists and locals. Can buy almost anything here, I would say. Lots of bargains to be had, got a spinach pie for lunch for 1euro. Definitely worth a browse through the market filled narrow streets, to awaken your senses.

most businesses and markets in Thessaloniki seem to open around 10am, with some groceries and of course cafes open earlier.
