Beautiful location which me and my partner have been visiting for the past 6 years. We have been here for 3/7 days of our Holliday this year, to which we’ve always used the sun beds for free as the signs say, and enjoyed food or a drink too. (Giorgios taverna) although this time we were unpleasantly greeted by the blonde waitress who was incredibly rude to us when we asked to order food and demanded us we pay for the sunbeds, which would of been fine but we questioned why the signs said free sunbeds and simply said we’d never been made to pay before for the past 6 years or 3 visits this week! Even with food. She proceeded to scream and shout at us in a restaurant full of people eating, making cocky remarks to which I said she was rude and we were leaving. I couldn’t believe the way she spoke to paying customers in front of other customers also. Disgusting behaviour from a staff member, vile language and a definite sackable offence. Such a shame as one of our favourite places in Zante, to which we will not return for as long as this vile women works here.

On arrival we bought some drinks and asked if we had to pay for the sun beds, the man said no. So we settled down on the day beds near the sea. After trying a couple as they were dirty and there was cigarette ends and discarded straws and cans in the pools of water round the beds. The waitress did see us walking to the beds but said nothing. Eventually after a little while she came over and said we had to pay €20. I told her I asked if we had to pay and was told no. Apparently that was just the sun-beds, not the beds near the water. Then she very rudely told us we had to buy a drink. Which we had. Any way we moved to the (free beds) but really wished we hadn’t have bothered. There are far nicer places to go on the island. I would give this place a big miss. There was another place next door don’t know if that would be any better. The sun-beds definitely looked cleaner.

The owner is extremely rude!!! We came to the beach for the second time but because the sea was way too wild and dangerous for swimming, we decided not to stay. The owner lashed out us and ordered us to ‘leave his parking NOW’. Disgusting and unacceptable treatment of customers and a pity because the area is beautiful, equipped with lounge beds on the rocks. Shameful, disappointing experience because of the rude person who excercises his frustration on customers. For us never again.

Nice rocky beach with comfortable sun-beds, alright food and not too many people, but the place isn’t really made for swimming. The beach is rocks only, which in itself isn’t an issue (look at the neighbor Porto Limnionas) but then there is just raw see and waves, which makes for quite an unpleasant swimming experience. There is only 1 proper way to enter the sea, and even there it doesn’t feel too comfortable. I went with my diving gear, but it was underwhelming. For swimming/diving I’d definitely pick Porto Limnionas, but if you want a nice quiet day lying in the sun, this place is for you!

We stopped at Porto Roxa on our way from Keri to Skinari as a lunch break, and would definitely recommend it to others! It was easy to find and when you get there you can find plenty of space to park- make sure that you park outside of the restaurant you intend to go to. There are a few restaurant tavernas to choose from, we chose the middle one as we fancied a Gyros and that was the only one that seemed to sell them, although they all looked great.

When you buy anything from the restaurants you can have access to their designated part of the beach. Our one was amazing as it had plenty of loungers to choose from, including a double bed swing overlooking the sea, which was great for a quick nap after lunch.

The beach itself is rocks, but this makes it a good place for snorkelling on the edge of the beach. Overall, this was a really chilled and relaxing place to visit.

not far from Porto Limnionas, good view, romantic, bad enter to the sea, but this is place for good relax with a good view, for sure need to visit. It is a place where the horizon merge with the sea. Also we recommend to visit the restaurant at the entrance to this place - very tasty fresh sea food and very hospitable family-owner of the restaurant.

We were taken for a drive out to Porto Roxa by our friends who had been there before. We spent a couple of relaxing hours sunbathing in front of the sunset cafe and then we had a lovely lunch there. The service was a little slow , but none of us minded whatsoever as this is of course the Greek way when one is a little off the beaten track - it all adds to the charm of holidaying in Greece.
The proprietor brought us a lovely little complementary dessert - even though we had picked out some ice creams from the freezer - which he also kindly left off the bill.

It was approx a 45 minute drive from where we were staying in Kalamaki, but well worth it for the views on the way and once you get there.

Went here with our 3 teenagers after visiting Porto Limnionas, which was a dicey walk down the cliff to get to. This place is a lot easier to get in and out of the water and has a diving board, which my children absolutely loved. We spent most of the day here until sunset, which was fabulous. The two tavernas nearest the diving board charge 3 euros for sunbeds, one of them you get a free drink the other overlooking the sea more jis just for sunbeds and I would advise getting Ines in the shade as the sun is relentless.
