We had a most wonderful morning out! It's a lovely way to see the blue caves and you get the time to actually appreciate them (rather than the quick pop in, pop out all those speed tour boats do). Dimitris does a great job, making sure everyone's got the hang of it before getting close and into the cliffs and caves of the island, pointimg out various things to pay attention to. At 65€ a bit pricy for a half-day activity but I guess one pays premium for the best way of exploring nature.

This was a last minute booking on our holiday in October but one of the best highlights - we were lucky enough to book the evening before our tour! Dimitris was a great guide, he was helpful for inexperienced kayakers, had good knowledge of the local area and was happy to answer questions and have a laugh/joke. We took the early tour which was perfect because we got to explore the island before any others arrived. It was a great combination of well paced kayaking and serene breaks on beautiful beaches. I would absolutely take this tour again when visiting Zakynthos.

Amazing day had by all, Dimitris is so professional, teaching us kayaking techniques and guiding us throughout the 4 hours we were exploring the Blue Caves of Zakynthos. Received some amazing photos of the day. Worth every penny.

We had both never done any sea kayaking before but Dimitris made us feel safe the entire time. He gave us a great and clear explanation before setting off.
We chose to do the Turtle Island trip and we're happy we chose to explore the island this way rather than on a loud boat. Dimitris sets off early to ensure you're out in the sea at the quietest time.
It's an experience not to be missed whilst in Zakynthos. We hope to return to the island again, and we'll definitely book another sea kayaking trip!

There was a bit of a mix up when I booked my trip, which was my fault, which meant I couldn’t take the trip on the day I wanted. However Despite this, Dimitris offered to make things right without hesitation and booked me on to a trip the following day.
The trip was really fun. I was on my own in a single kayak, but Dimitris quickly made everyone feel like a group of friends within minutes, so I was very comfortable.
Safety is taken seriously which I was happy to see. Lots of instructions on how to paddle and what to expect. So I can recommend this trip for even nervous beginners. Everyone was in safe hands.
The equipment is high quality, and there’s even a 2L bottle of water provided for each person.
The trip itself was really great, the pace was just right. Not too quick and not too slow.
Kayaking I think is the best way to see the coast line as it offers the ability to really get into all the small caves and arches for a unique perspective you simply can’t get from a boat. Even a small one.
5 stars, I’d certainly recommend this trip and would do it again without hesitation.

We had a sea kayaking adventure (blue caves) guided by Dimitri and couldn't ask for a better guide than him. He is professional both in terms of the boat fleet he has and the the way he treats his guests. He teaches you the basics prior setting sail and keeps an eye on you during the whole journey. He knows the best spots around and happy to show them to his guests.
Absolutely the best thing to do if you stay on the island, don't miss it!

Wanted to explore Zakynthos another way than by boat, so I went kayaking with Dimitris and 9 other people.
When we arrived he stroke me as a grumpy unfriendly person, but hey: maybe just not too fond on mornings.
Explanation of technique and safety rules was fine. Then we got into the water. He ‘adjusted’ the stands where you have to press your feet against in the kayak for you and off we went. However, mine were not properly adjusted, really quick and hasty. As a result, within 5 minutes, I got cramp and extreme pain in my entire right leg. Calling for help was not an option, as he was hundreds of meters far from me and another person that had to kayak alone.
When I told him, he reacted quite agressively. Soon after the other one alone crashed into a rock. Nothing wrong with the boat, but Dimitris immediately started shouting at her about his boat. Not checking if she was okay, but if his kayak was okay..
During the tour he kept making disrespectful jokes towards me, like I was paddling like a truck driver and ‘CrossFit and being powerful didn’t work for me here’. It felt as if he couldn’t stand women that take care of themselves or something. Whatever it was, as a guide it’s your responsibility to make sure everyone keeps up, is safe and feels good. That goes much further than asking: ‘are you okay’ 2-3 times in 4 hours.
After the experience, we were told to receive the photos of the tour. He checked our mail addresses, he already had mine as I booked through the website and we already had exchanged mails about pick up time and place. However, even a week after I still haven’t got any photos while the rest does. I also still have pain as a result of the hasty adjusting of the kayak to my length. He’s not responding to any e-mail. Worst experience ever.
Kayakking in Zakynthos: yes, please do! It can be a breathtaking experience, without a doubt. But book it anywhere else, as Dimitris behaviour shadows the whole experience. It was clear that he fakes being friendly when you’re with multiple people, but alone (especially a woman alone).. He obviously couldn’t handle that for some reason. A shame, really.

What an amazing way to explore the island! A great alternative to the busy boat trips. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Zakynthos; even as an absolute beginner, you are excellently guided from start to finish by Dimitri. A very big thank you!!

i can’t recommend strongly enough to do this rather than the crowded boat trips to see turtle island, blue caves etc. you will get far closer the the shoreline and the water and see far more wildlife. the paddling is fun and dimitri is a fun and friendly guide

We booked 3 tours on the island and had a great time with Dimitris. I recommend to everyone who wants to explore parts of the island and caves really deep and close to nature. You will not see that from motorboats or turist boats.
The tour is suitable to anyone interested, not extremely hard and needs to special experience.
Beware: do not drink a lot of alcohol before the trip, the next day you will be tired and the whole tour is jeopardized even for the good mood for the group!

You must contact the owner if you can combine cycling and sea kayak to turtle island. I joined the kayak trip to keri caves. The price was 65 euros, transportation from the hotel included. The starting point was the beach of village Keri.

I’m 51 and unfit - if you follow what he says it’s easy and can take time 🛶 book before you go is my advice but he takes large groups out with safety at heart of everything - have fun

You can do both. But probably during high season you will have the chance some days are fully booked.
