Yes, the view is stunning. However be prepared to queue and wait at least an hour at peak times to even get the opportunity to see it and take a photo. Little shade and no social distancing at all, and the amount of people climbing over the walls to get a picture was unbelievable. Plenty of patience required as certain nationalities have a liberal idea of queuing.
There is a local official there trying to keep people inside the walls, but he was ignored by all the genius’s that were there determined to put their lives in danger for that perfect Instagram shot!
The local government could easily make a large safe platform for more people to come and view this site (which they will) and even charge for seeing it, therefore pay for any upgrades.
To be honest, if you want to see it properly then Take a boat trip!

The place is a must if you are on the island, but be prepared - it’s the biggest attraction soo lots of tourists. For visiting the beach itself, we would really recommend renting a private boat from Porto Vroni so you can explore at your own pace and also see many other caves/ places around this beach. If you are on the big organized tours, you have a limited time on the beach, they usually take you there when it is flocked with tourists ( some boats have 200-300 people) and you dont get to explore that many of the other attractions around the beach. Leave alone the whole COVID aspect right now that made us easily choose the private boat. We also went to the viewpoint where you see the beach from the top - a huge lone of tourists to snap a photo so be prepared to wait( there is a photo platform). Otherwise, you cannot really see the beach itself and all other access has ben closed off as it is extremely dangerous and people apparently fell from the cliffs.

We went on excursion from the sea, different stops one of those was at Navagio beach, probably the most famous beach in Zante. The reason is clear as soon as you approach it: the clear white peeble sand gives you a unique and spectacular turquoise colour of the wa ater. You cannot avoid to jump into that water. The shipwreck is an attraction of the beach, interesting story about a Turkish contraband ship that stranded on those beach in a tempestuous night. A must see.

We had a 3 hour trip, with an hour on the beach with the wreck, the boat trip was nice but the beach was so so busy and the only thing we heared was more horns and whistles of the boats landing on the beach to offload tourist. This island has so much more to offer then visiting this shipwreck. My advice buy a nice postcard instead and visit one of the other beautiful areas like roxo beach to name one.

The shipwreck is in a cove that is about a 10 minute hike from the main road. There are many theories and myths about how it ended up there, but regardless of how it did, it's a very impressive sight. The middle half is submerged, but either end sticks out of the water. It's quite a large ship, which is more apparent if you hike down to it. The only negative is that cove beach is covered in trash. Otherwise, it's a sight to behold.

The Navagio beach (or “Shipwreck beach”) is quite universally recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, perhaps in the whole World; nevertheless, in my opinion, the way Navagio beach appears to anyone strongly depends on the visit context.
On the early morning, with the deserted beach, anyone can fully enjoy the sea, the sand and the sun, the beautiful view of the rocky sheer cliffs, and even the remains of the shipwreck. At the opposite, in the later morning, the site is invaded by a multitude of boats, of any type and dimension, that discharge on the beach thousands of tourists, transforming Navagio into a totally unenjoyable chaos.
We arrived there leaving from the small port of Agios Nikolaos, on the north-eastern coast of Zakynthos, with a small boat; our captain was quite absent, since he didn’t give us any information concerning the journey, the Zakynthos island, the coast portion we saw during the trip, or the Navagio beach itself. He simply brought us on the beach, and came back to pick us up one hour later.
The sea water, close to the beach, has a light blue color, which is consequence of sulphurous springs, that can be found, like in Navagio, at several locations of the Zakynthos coast. We enjoyed a lot to swim, being the day very warm.
The whole context is really very beautiful, but the tourists and boats “traffic” doesn’t allow to enjoy the peace and the panoramic views that are offered by the travel brochures.

We have visited not the beach but the top viewpoint. Arrived there at 5-6 pm so the beach was empty except one yacht. The view was marvelous, snow-white sand and pristine clean blue water. The viewpoint wasn't empty however. Have to walk along the cliff to get a better view. ALL BE CAREFUL, DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE FOR A GOOD PHOTO! The cliffs can be dangerous and uneasy to walk. Take safe routes and stand on hard ground.

We went on a small boat cruise here via some caves and other great swimming spots. Do not go to The Shipwreck before perhaps 2 pm. That is probably the best time as there's hardly anyone around and the beach is bathed in sunlight. That's also probably the time when all those beautiful postcard photos are taken too. Before this time, tens of boats constantly coming in and out of the shore, they stink the place out with their diesel fumes and their loud honking of their boat horns spoils the ambience of the place. There is a tiny spot in the corner of the beach for the hundreds of visitors to swim or should I say stand-in. The beach is shale and pebbles. You will not be there for long as there is nothing there but the ship. Be sure to have your rockhopper shoes with you. It is only a matter of time before someone is hurt here. It's really a disaster and needs better control. The shipwreck itself is a rusty old ship with graffiti all over it. The walls and cliffs of the cove are quite spectacular. To the woman who was taking a photo of her daughter smiling whilst graffitiing the wall, if you are reading this, shame on you!!
The best part was the jumping off the boat and swimming around the caves.
