Porto Limnionas is beautiful!, the water is crystal clear and has a gorgeous blue/green color and has amazing cliffs as a back drop, but is very popular. You have to drive down this narrow winding road to get there. There are two options to experience...More

We loved snorkeling in this beautiful cove. Clear water, many colorful fish and caves. There is also an underwater "bridge" there - you have to see this! :-)

The landscape here is unique and beautiful with crystal clear waters. Unfortunately we visited that place the wrong period. It was very busy, noisy with no space to sit and relax. Also, it was also very difficult to find a parking space as the road...More

One of the things needs to be done when you are at Zante. Got there about 9:30 am, probably was the first person swimming in blue crystal waters of Porto Limnionas that morning. It took me nearly an hour to get there from Tsilivi, it...More

Such a shame. This spot used to be beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately. It’s all about money making now. If you come here come early. The staff run around with walkie talkies and make sure everyone pays 4 Euro per sun bed. All they want if...More

As others have mentioned, car, motor bike or quad. As the song says, " just get there if you can" it'll be worth the effort, promise.

No I am afraid not. You can get there with a one day rental, or a tour bus.

5 days in Zakynthos (3 Replies)
What is the best area to stay in Zakynthos? We would like to see Navagio Beach one of those days. Maybe a day at turtle island. Kalamaki Beach one day and Porto Limnionas Beach. Getting around the Ionian Island's seems really difficult without public transportation. Are there any buses or ferry's that will take me to these places that I would like to visit. If so, from which port do they depart from. I'm under 25, so will renting a car be really expensive and with gas being so expensive....More

Late here now so won't answer all the questions, but just to let you know that being under twety-five won't have any effect on car hire price (just use a local company rather than a multinational). Taxis will definitely be more expensive if you're planning to look around. And finally, for now, if you only have five days don't waste one on the beach at Kalamaki! Nothing wrong with it but there are loads better.

Laganas to Porto Limnionas Beach? (6 Replies)
Hi, we are going to Laganas at the end of September and would to visit Porto Limnionas Beach. There's not much information online and we were wondering what the best way to get there for a day trip would be? We are thinking of hiring a quad bike for a few days. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Limnionis is a tiny cove accessed via a steep winding road down from the main road that runs across the mountains in the West of the island. I think car hire is the best way to get there from Laganas. There is'nt really a beach there just a stretch of pebbles at the head of the cove and it's only around 40 metres or so wide. I have'nt been down there for a few years and then there were only 4 sun beds two of which were broken on the pebbles and were probably owned by the taverna there.

Help with taverna/places please :-) (4 Replies)
Hello everyone. Can anyone advise me whether its worth having a meal at the 'lighthouse taverna' in Keri? I have been watching frosty days 2011 video and trying to find place names for all the lovely places they went. Anyway,I can't find much info on the taverna,so maybe I've got the name wrong? And the 2 websites I did find mentioning this place said 'it was shut' and 'it was rubbish' !! Lol. So any info please :-) I really wanted to read his blog but can't find it in English...anyone...More
