We had very few people travelling to this beach as it is off the beaten track and a good hour drive from zakynthos and so with car hire we went a couple of times and the sea is lovely to swim in. Go past where the sunbeds are and there are no stones as you enter the sea.

This place is great for turtle nesting , watch out for the nest and stay behind the cord . Also be careful with the sun beds , they look free but they are not . Once you have set yourself someone will come and ask you for 5 euro for the day . Might not sound much but it is... More

Lovely beach and particularly interesting if you're wanting to find out more about the turtles. There's a rescue centre to look at (although not completely up and running). The only issue we had was the €25 sunbeds. 4 beds and an oversized shade. We couldn't take one small shade and 3, as it would not have been enough shade and... More

Soft sand dunes, clear calm blue waters. Turtle conservation area, so unspoilt except when it's very busy !

Home to turtle nesting with some protective guards around the various nesting sites, the beach is ok but as you can imagine gets quite busy like the rest of the southern beaches.

One of the best beaches in the world. Fantastic waters, home of the Caretta Caretta turtles. Quite environment without beach bars, loud music and trendy lights. You get the feeling that you are travelling back to time. Nothing artificial, nothing from this century. Addicted to the beach for the last 8 years. Looking forward for this year's holidays in Gerakas... More

Wonderful stretch of lovely clean sand and crystal clear water with safe bathing plus accepted naturist bathing at the far end of the beach.

By far the best beach I have ever been to surrounded by a lot of greenery. Sea is clear and shallow, beach is rubbish-free, long and wide. There are turtles´ nests so you need to take this into consideration while wondering around. If you are lucky you can see a baby turtle (I was lucky to see one during late... More

Such a beautiful place to visit. Its a must when you come to Zakynthos island. When we was here is whas a bit late, we where basicly all alone, just another couple sharing the hole beach, we got to see the sunset and all the turtle nests. Be careful so you dont go too near them! It was a guard... More
