Beautiful beach.

Soft sand dunes, clear calm blue waters. Turtle conservation area, so unspoilt except when it's very busy !

Home to turtle nesting with some protective guards around the various nesting sites, the beach is ok but as you can imagine gets quite busy like the rest of the southern beaches.

One of the best beaches in the world. Fantastic waters, home of the Caretta Caretta turtles. Quite environment without beach bars, loud music and trendy lights. You get the feeling that you are travelling back to time. Nothing artificial, nothing from this century. Addicted to the beach for the last 8 years. Looking forward for this year's holidays in Gerakas... More

Wonderful stretch of lovely clean sand and crystal clear water with safe bathing plus accepted naturist bathing at the far end of the beach.

By far the best beach I have ever been to surrounded by a lot of greenery. Sea is clear and shallow, beach is rubbish-free, long and wide. There are turtles´ nests so you need to take this into consideration while wondering around. If you are lucky you can see a baby turtle (I was lucky to see one during late... More

Such a beautiful place to visit. Its a must when you come to Zakynthos island. When we was here is whas a bit late, we where basicly all alone, just another couple sharing the hole beach, we got to see the sunset and all the turtle nests. Be careful so you dont go too near them! It was a guard... More

We visited this beach two times. First one was about noon. It was too crowded, many people didn't want to understand that they are not allowed to pass beyond the boundaries and it cause many screams between them and preservations. The second time we went at about 8:30 in the morning. And I couldn't accept this was thr same beach.... More

You can only sit on a small portion of the beach by the surf as the rest is roped off to protect the turtle nests. As a result it is very crowded and you are squashed together like sardines. The people either side of my were constantly shouting down their mobiles which was so annoying we decided to leave. The... More

The beach and bay at Gerakas are undoubtedly one of the best places on Zante to visit. The sand is nice and thecsea shelves gently. But the wasps were an absolute nightmare and resulted in us having to curtail the stay. Maybe we were just unlucky but it ruined what should have been a great trip out.

Okay beach, very narrow area open to the public as there are turtle nests all along the beach. Had to walk a long way to find somewhere to sit down as space is at a premium. Patrolled by volunteers to protect the turtles but despite that still saw several idiots wandering around amongst the nests!!! Had we realised this was... More
