What an amazing place. A huge sea cave with a beach inside. Beautiful clear blue water. I used a kayak to get ashore and wear shoes as the beach is stony and not kind to the feet. Great story about about the Greek submarine hiding there during WW2, you can just imagine it

I did it as a part of a nice day trip to Kefalonia and Ithaka. The cave as such is a waste of time. So, if you plan a trip by rental boat only to this cave, forget it. It's annoyingly boring. You do not see anything but a hole in the wall. Spend your time elsewhere;)

Everybody knows the story about the Greek sub attacking the German convoys so to see this little piece of history and to hear the guides commentary was very enjoyable. The cave has suffered badly from the ravages of time and the earthquakes the area is prone to but it was a very good trip. I would certainly advise anybody visiting the island to go on one of the cruise boat trips from Nidri they really are well worth using.

We went in the cave in a medium sized boat, where you can jump off and swim in the beautiful surroundings. It's an amazing sight. Truly worth the visit. We loved it.

Taken here on the daily cruise boats. Would not have wanted to miss this experience as this is where the Submarine lay hidden from the enemy during World War Two.

I was there two times , once with the Nidri Star, and last year with the Macedonia Palace, it seems that all the boats stop there , its great to see how a huge boat it go right in , you can almost can touch the walls of the cave , you can take amazing pictures , and the water its so clear and blue. Its also amazing how the Greek submarines used to use the cave for hideaway,on every run with the German and Italian gun boats.

We visited the cave during the boat trip and …. Just visited for a few pictures and nothing more!

Our boat entered a partly inside for some pictures and that was all – no swimming or landing. Anyhow – I was not disappointed as I was expected exactly this thing and for me was Ok, but I felt another passengers’ disappointment.

Cave is accessible only from the sea side by the boat and if you are with small motor boat can land, but with big cruise boats – no way.

Personally – I was expected a bigger cave, to have something which is developed as a touristic place, but the only story is which they saying to you from the boat.

Just do not expect something more ….

We visited this cave by the boat, with no swim inside...the boat go inside only for less than half...the cave is very small and nothing special...it is not worth visiting it...spend your time in other way! If you want to see really good caves, go to Italy!!!
