I spent a down in the lovely corfu town so I decided to treat my daughter to this trip. When I boarded the boat the views of corfu were lovely the sea breeze so I thought we are going to gave a lovely day ! How very wrong was I ,once we went underneath the boat to see the sea... More

We were in Corfu town and thought we'd try the Kalypso Star.......and soon regretted it. All you get to see is a lobster & crayfish which conveniently appear as soon as the boat stops (I agree with other reviewers about them probably being held in a tank) and some fish which appear only because the diver has food, then you... The boat ride includes a "show" by 2 sea lions kept in a very small enclosure. It wasn't clear beforehand that this was included in the trip, and certainly not that they are kept in such a small space: they did not have much room to swim. Very unpleasant experience and not something I would ever want to financially support.

I booked this trip through thomson but after reading the reviews was slightly concerned! I shouldnt have been though as we all enjoyed it! We had the morning shoppin in corfu town before the boat trip. The boat trip itself is an hr long, on the way out you sit at the bottom of the glass bottom boat and look... More

Two seals were kept in a very small enclosure. They did not have much room to swim. It wasn't obvious to us that we would see captive seals, and definitely not in such a small enclosure. Horrible experience. I wish we hadn't financially supported this :(

Barbaric conditions for these poor animals permanently caged in small area and made to perform on the hour. I notice other reviewers make the comment that it is obvious on the advertising material that these seals are caged in, but actually seeing the size of their contained area is heart breaking. In addition,. when they stop the boat for viewing,... More

I had available time in the town of Corfu since my wife had to do some shopping. I decided to go with the kids for this trip. We have done it in the past. Well, nothing is the same as the first time. The boat needs some refurbishment and the crew should learn to be clean enough. The kids loved... More

If I could rate this 0 I would. I definitely would not recommend this trip to anyone. It's a waste of money. It was hot and the 'glass boat' seats are awful. All we saw were some fish that we could swim with near our hotel for FREE. The diver had a lobster and placed it against the window (which... More

Brilliant... Don't listen to the scare mongers... They're the same people who will happily visit a zoo and smile at the monkeys or own a parrot or rabbit in a small hutch, some people are just hypocrites. The sea lions were great and even tho unnatural were happy to perform, they were affectionate to there handlers and looked healthy, the photos... Had a trip on this boat out of Corfu Old Town. In total the trip lasted 1 hour. We sailed out to the island of Corfu town and on the far side everyone was told to go down to the glass bottom viewing area to see the fish etc. It was very warn and sticky in the bottom of the... More
