First time to Arillas in September 2022 and we stayed at Irene Villas a self contained first floor Villas with a large spacious balcony. We wanted a relaxing holiday where you don’t have to dress formally for dinner and not get caught up in a big complex.
The location was ideal, 15 minutes to walk to the beach. Apartment had every mod con, was very clean with air conditioning in the bedroom.
The beach was small but long, very clean with crystal clear water, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas to hire and relatively cheap, depending on which ones you used they even threw in an ice bucket and a litre bottle of water.
Restaurants were very good , catering for all tastes and occasions. After having spent many a holiday in 5 star hotels rushing about and being dictated to on a dress code this was a refreshing and relaxing change.
We have re booked with Irene Villas again for a 10 day stay, I can heartily recommend Irene Villas, nothing was too much trouble.

We visited Arillas beach on our northwest Corfu tour. After visiting the Angelokastro hilltop castle we were heading towards the north coast.
We chose this beach for our lunch break. Plenty of seaside restaurants and very long beach. The sea was nice and clean and warmer than in Palaiokastritsa.
Sunbeds are reasonably priced, but parking is a problem as it seems popular so it was full.

A beautiful clean sandy beach with clear shallow water that is perfect for family holidays. Plenty of sunbeds for hire and also paddleboards and canoes. Free carparking along the promenade and plenty of restuarants too. The sunsets here are beautiful to watch.I found the nicest part was to the south where the beach is wider and there are no pebbles in the sea. Here you can find some people whose luggage went missing from their flight! I plucked up courage and joined them for the day, very liberating🙂

This beach is well suited to families in the central area with the usual sunbeds, brollies and showers. The north and south beaches are textile optional and both are sheltered by high cliffs. Access to the south and north beaches is sometime limited by high water levels and wading may be needed in places.

We loved the beach, we used the northern end (not the very northern nudie end) every day. The sun beds and umbrellas were not too close together and were in good condition. The guy looked after them with great care and was appropriately friendly. The sand was clean and raked, there was no litter. Price was €10. The sea was lovely, a bit rough late afternoons. You didn’t have to walk too far to get into a depth of 3 to 4 feet. Perfect!

Oh wow! We travelled to most beaches and this was the favourite for our family of six. You can park at the front, plenty of food places, Graziers was lovely overlooking the sea. The sea and beach, wow. Lovely long sandy beach, clear sea and light waves - such a lovely relaxed atmosphere here.

Gutted.
Travelled here today with Tui.
Everything is closed. Tui should not be selling these holidays. Corfu is not ready for tourists. Arillas, sidari san stefanos to not bother. Nearly everything is closed even our own bar and restaurant. I would advise anyone to re- think . You will be disappointed.
£1500 holiday.
£300 in tests. 10 days isolation. For what??

Nice sand beach. We tried this beach on our penultimate day and had a good time. There is a jetty that catches much of the seaweed detritus so go to the other side (north) of the jetty. There are organized and non-organized options and the northern-most section is clothing optional if that is your preference. The beach where we were was clean, as was the water. The sand goes out a fair distance from the beach. There's plenty of room for everyone.

The best beach in Corfu! Gorgeous sand, not much sea weed. Lots of lovely tavernas around for food and drink. Also plenty of sun beds, gorgeous sun sets.

Given you have come this far, you will already be looking at holiday in Corfu.
Arillas Beach is out of this world: it’s simplicity, originality, nature...
if you’re looking for peace and quiet - you’re right. If you’re looking for touristy attractions and hype - you’re better of somewhere else.

Hi all.
We've just booked a week in Arillas for mid-September. The last two times we have gone to Corfu, we have stayed in Kassiopi, and have visited the second week of October and last week of September respectively.
On both previous occasions we have found it a little quieter than we would have preferred. So this year we decided to come mid-September, again with the aim of staying in Kassiopi. However, upon attempting to book earlier this week, we found Kassiopi either all booked out for that week or outside of our budget.
We saw Nafsika & Dionyssos apartments (Rainbow Complex) available for the week we wanted to go and within budget, and after doing a bit of looking at reviews for both the apartments and the resort, decided to book it.
So my question is, what is Arillas like mid-September? Is it very busy, fairly lively, quiet but with a few people around, or totally dead with places closing down for the end of season? Maybe someone who's been there at that time could tell me please.
Additionally, what is the resort like in general? Although I have read quite a lot of reviews that say how nice it is there and how people tend to go back year after year, I don't really get much of a general impression of what the resort is like with regards to things like choice of bars/tavernas/restaurants, or things like shops and amenities.
Any info that people can provide would be great.
Thanks.

I am looking for the best sandy beach in Corfu. We are arriving Sept/5 via a NCL cruise ship and am looking for not too far away from the port. Saying that, we don't mind travelling by bus or taxi. Can you assist?

Is the arillas beach sandy (without pebbles/shingle)? And is it suitable for families? And what is around and about? We are planning a 2 week holiday?

The beach is mostly sandy, especially near the seafront. It's shallow water, so children can be easily there.
There are a lot of restaurants and bars with animation and music. On the top of the cliff in the north west, there is a little church and a nice place to relax.
There are places where meditation is possible, if you like to wander, there is a nice trail called Arillas Trail, well provided with path signs.
Outside there are many places to visit. Therefore it is recommended to rent a car.
We had a very good time there in May. And hope you will enjoy it too.
