Key points, Ainos is big and covers much of the South of the island. Ainos is also steep with the tarmac road following the 'flattest' route up. There are only a few other routes up (all for foot traffic) and they are steep, think steps...More

Having visited Kef' for 14 years, I decided that it was high time that I got to the summit of The Black Mountain, Mt Enos, 1628 metres. The drive is easy enough - follow the Sami road. Where it splits, it is signposted to the...More

It seemed that all the reviews I read prior to going said “easy route”, “short walk”, “just drive, park, then a few steps”. This is simply not the case. Tips: - Wear at least trainers. - Take water. - Bring a jumper, it’s windy up...More

Fantastic views I cycled up one day and they were that good I drove my wife up and climbed the official peak. Follow the guides from other views to ensure you get to the summit as it’s easily missed as it’s not at the end...More

Enjoyable drive up to the summit on tarmac road, there are some breathtaking views when you find a gap in the trees. You can park below the radio station and walk down the rough road to a clearing where there is a decent viewpoint. It...More

My boyfriend and I decided to climb Mount Aenos previously having climbed Mount Zeus on Naxos Island and what a brilliant decision it was. Now I wanted to post this review as like probably many others we went wrong! See this as a full proof...More

Drove up today, had the place almost to ourselves but by the time we’d figured out where the ‘summit’ is (quite a long way from the transmitter station and a bit of a scramble) we thought better of it, as much as I love driving...More
