This was an absolutely fantastic experience. We did the Dragon Houses tour with Steven and it was AMAZING. Things this tour has: ancient history, exciting hiking, stunning views and, most importantly, an incredible tour guide. Steven not only took us around the route and succinctly and expertly taught us about the history, but his obvious passion for the outdoors made the hike unique and special. He even joined us for a drink at the bottom :) If in doubt, book now!

Based in a lovely hotel in Chalkida, I spent a fabulous week hiking on Evia with Steven and a bunch of college friends. The itinerary was well planned and each day delivered something different. We visited wineries, olives presses, churches, archaeological sites and villages with restaurants offering wonderful local dishes. The hiking and scenery were magnificent and Steven is a wonderful host with a wealth of local knowledge. I have no hesitation in recommending Evia Adventure Tours and I will be back in the not too distant future.

We started at the top of a mountain in the mist near Dragon's House rock formations and the mountain where mythological characters Zeus & Hera were said to have been married. The trail begins above a ravine/gorge, and descends over 700 meters to the valley below. Some of the path is rocky and though not treachorous, not for the novice hiker. Part of the trail, at least, has been in continuous use for thousands of years - surreal history! Olive groves, old trees and plenty of rock formations and a river make this a beautiful trek, and you end up at the Aegean Sea.

We joined a group of friends for a few days of rambling in Evia. Views from our hotel in Chalkida were stunning and am still trying to work out those tides! Our guide Steven was excellent, punctual, well organised, informative and sensitive to all our different needs including those much needed early morning coffee stops! Paths were well chosen for different abilities and the gorge walk was stunning. To get the opportunity to taste pomegranates and figs straight from the tree was delightful but extra special delight for me were the wild tortoise. It was good to visit wineries and taste some delicious greek wines. Well chosen family run tavernas provided us with wonderful fare, always using fresh local produce we ate beautifully cooked traditional greek food. A most memorable trip with lots of fun with friends in the most stunning greek countryside Thank you Steven
