Although the outskirts of the mosque is not impressive the findings of both Jewish and Islamic findings. The Jewish exhibition is a unique finding contributed by an ex Ioannina Jewish family, quite impressive. It is the most interesting place we found in Ioannian

Artifacts from the three religious groups that made up the population of Ioannina before 1913: the Christian, Muslim and Jewish. Set inside a former Mosque. The view over the Lake is spectacular.

This museum goes by different names (Municipal Museum and Demotica Museum) so it is a bit confusing but it is well worth a visit. It is off by itself - away from the other museums within the castle walls. It is within an old mosque...More

Museum inside one of the mosques within the castle walls. Three exhibit areas of the communities that once lived together in unity: Muslim, Jewish and Christian. The worship space is as it was with interpretive signage, lovely. Very attentive and helpful staff.

It's worth to have a visit if you are in this little but gorgeous town. It is on the top of the hill. The entrance fee is very little, The view is fantastic over the late and the city.

Known also as the Aslan Pasha Mosque is situated on top of a hill, in the castle, with a wonderful view. It is interesting to see, nothing exstatic, just interesting as an area and view.
