Stone Bridges of Zagori

A tour with a 7-seated 4x4 SUV that crosses the

beautiful villages of the central and eastern Zagori and combines the breathtaking view of

Vikos canyon with the unique

stone bridges that used to connect the villages. It surely is a view that reminds us of the “miracles” that can happen by the

human and natural cooperation.

Vikos Gorge - Papingo

This tour offers us the ultimate view of the world’s deepest canyon, Vikos canyon. In our path, we’ll meet one of the clearest and coldest rivers of Europe, Voidomatis and well as some spots that provide us with a sublime view of the canyon. The silvery river’s waters, though cold, are surprisingly refreshing for swimming and ideal for rafting in the late spring and summer months..

On our way, we’ll meet the Kipina monastery, the villages Kalarrites and Pramanta, the “Anemotripa” cave and of course the unbelievable beauty of the alpine landscape .

Would highly recommend Epirus.Travel and this particular tour we went on. We booked this very late which was no bother to Giorgos ( George ) who advised us where and what to do from the start! Less than 10 hours later he was waiting for us at the port for our days adventure to begin! What a day it was! George went out of his way to give us more than we expected from the tour, giving us a complete full days tour of everything and more on the list! He is extremely knoweledgable, great fun to be with, very accommodating, easy going and immediatly made us feel at ease comfortable and relaxed in his hands as he took us on our adventure. Nothing was to much trouble and he ensured we had the best days travel! Sivota, Parga and of course the Acheron River are breathtaking - there was just so much to see, so much to explore from beautiful beaches, sea side coastal towns steeped in history and charm, ancient forests and olive plantations, ruins, fortresses, castles and not forgetting the mythical crysal clear waters of the Archeron springs! I enjoyed every second of the day and it really was the highlight to our weeks holiday in Greece. I would highly recommend doing any trip with George. You will be in the best hands. I look forward to going back to Greece and in particular the Epirus region and will 100% go through Epirus.Travel and do another adventure. I cant wait!

This was our first time to Zagori. From the time George picked us up from the hotel, going around Vikos gorge, the stone bridges, and Zagori villages, we had the most amazing time. The views, and experiences, and photos.. George made this a perfect day trip.

We did a 4*4 tour with Jorge in the Vikos area and we loved every second of it. Jorge is kind, knowledgeble, humorous - simply the kind of tour guide you wish to travel with! He answered all of our questions and was very helpful in giving us recommendations for the rest of our trip in Greece. Would definitely take a tour with him again!

George picked us up on time in front of our hotel and wisked us away to start our day with him. He was a good driver and we never worried about trouble on the road despitethe fact that we spent much time on difficult mountain passes. We saw many of the stone bridges, including one that has recently collapsed that they were fixing up during our visit. He was also prepared with water for us and his mother had prepared a Greek treat for us as well that was delightful. The route was well planned and he was knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He was also flexible meaning that if we wanted to stop somewhere or not go to a place he would rejig his schedule to accommodate. We saw several villiages from a distance, walked 3 of the stone bridges and viewed 2-3 others. George showed us the natural pools in a canyon that was fun to walk along. We also saw the Vickos Gorge from a viewing point that was spectacular! We ended the day with a traditional Greek meal at a restaurant with a terrific view from the terrace where we ate. Overall it was a great day!
