We had a fabulous day! Giorgios picked my husband and me up with his spacious SUV and took us around Zagori telling us about the history, the geography, the demography, the culture and every subject under the sun that we asked him about lnowledgeably, with wit and good nature. He made his very best and succeded to make the day easy and very enjoyable for me too notwithstanding my walking disability and the rain. We visited villages, stone bridges and marvellous lookouts. Giorgios is an excellent driver too and at all times we felt safe and well cared for. I understand his company offers many kinds of different tours, which in itself, is an excellent reason to come back to this beautiful part of the world.

We made the climb to Dracolimni, early August and it was terrible!
It is worth noting that our Guide Spyros was excellent and the whole organization of Epirus Adveture fantastic! We had a great time and made our experience unforgettable!

Thank you for organizing and cooperating with such people because they are rarely found!

Epirus Adventures made our trip to Ioanina one to remember! George is a knowledgeable, warm, welcoming, and humorous tour guide! We are so lucky that we found George through a long, confusing Google search. Ioanina is a gorgeous city, but it can be tricky to navigate on your own. And that is why George is a diamond in the rough. He has made close connections with the different artisans and cooks that you will meet on the tour, and for that you will feel fully immersed in the beautiful culture and history of the city. We were so full by the end of the tour and even had leftovers to take home with us. The food stops are incredible, simple, and fresh. The streets you walk along are picturesque. And the company is lively and friendly - you feel like you are being introduced to family. You can't get this experience anywhere else. I guarantee it. If you have a chance, book the tour and help spread the good word about Epirus Adventures. You will be thankful you gave it a try. Thank you George, and best wishes!

Cheers

This was our first time to Zagori. From the time George picked us up from the hotel, going around Vikos gorge, the stone bridges, and Zagori villages, we had the most amazing time. The views, and experiences, and photos.. George made this a perfect day trip.

We did a 4*4 tour with Jorge in the Vikos area and we loved every second of it. Jorge is kind, knowledgeble, humorous - simply the kind of tour guide you wish to travel with!
He answered all of our questions and was very helpful in giving us recommendations for the rest of our trip in Greece.
Would definitely take a tour with him again!

George picked us up on time in front of our hotel and wisked us away to start our day with him. He was a good driver and we never worried about trouble on the road despitethe fact that we spent much time on difficult mountain passes. We saw many of the stone bridges, including one that has recently collapsed that they were fixing up during our visit. He was also prepared with water for us and his mother had prepared a Greek treat for us as well that was delightful.

The route was well planned and he was knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He was also flexible meaning that if we wanted to stop somewhere or not go to a place he would rejig his schedule to accommodate. We saw several villiages from a distance, walked 3 of the stone bridges and viewed 2-3 others. George showed us the natural pools in a canyon that was fun to walk along. We also saw the Vickos Gorge from a viewing point that was spectacular!

We ended the day with a traditional Greek meal at a restaurant with a terrific view from the terrace where we ate. Overall it was a great day!

This tour is the best. Our original plan was to tour the Vikos Gorge and the bridges ourselves. We are so glad we changed our minds; every minute with Epirus Adventures we spent relieved that we popped for the expense and had George take us on his magical tour. In part because our rental car never would have made it up all the roads, but mostly because George was the perfect host. He is effervescent, knowledgeable, doesn't talk too much, doesn't talk too little, gracious, funny, and very kind.
On a practical note, the scenery is beyond amazing. It is nice to ride around in a private jeep and enjoy the views without accidentally driving off a cliff. And while the maps didn't make the region look too difficult, it's more complicated than it seems. We would have seen far less had we tried on our own. We were never rushed and George was never annoyed, even when we may have been slightly annoying ("Will you please pull over so I can take a photo?" Repeat.).
Especially when you take in to account the length of the tour, the fuel, and the (delicious) lunch, the price is well worth it. Often times smaller companies provide the best service, and this is definitely one of those times.

Firstly, let's deal with the price. It seems expensive, but actually it's very good value for money. This is a private tour. You could of course go to the region in a coach, but you would not see half the sights, and you certainly would not be taken to the best ones, the roads are just too narrow, steep and windy. George is an excellent and safe driver, and his car i (Website hidden by Airbnb) that can navigate the smallest and humpiest of stone bridges. There are plenty of extras included in the tour, including lunch. Now, I have been on excursions where they serve you the tiniest amounts of macaroni in tomato sauce. With George, you go to the best of the tavernas in the area, with the best view, the owner tells you what they have, and you order whatever you want and eat the meal with George. Me and George had beef with fresh porcini. Porcini, for goodness sake! My partner had freshly caught river trout and wild greens, and the Greek salad had vegetables from their own garden. I don't know how much it cost because George paid the bill. Anyway, this is not a restaurant review. You can do whatever you want for as long as you want, although it's best to let George guide you, as he grew up in the region. It's not a start at nine, back to your hotel at five type tour. Ours lasted an extra hour, and others have lasted much longer than that. I don't need to describe how wonderful the Vikos Canyon and Zagori region are, because as you are reading this you are already interested in going, but it exceeded my expectations, there were many wow moments, and now it is one of my favourite places in Greece, if not the world. But the best thing about the whole trip is George himself. He is such a happy, enthused, generous, interested, caring person - a really lovely man. He just wants you to gave a good time, and will be as flexible as possible to accommodate this. We felt that we started the day with a driver/guide, and ended the day with a friend.

This tour is fantastic if you enjoy nature and its natural elements combined with human made features which blend with the surrounding nature. George, my driver and guide, was very knowledgeable not only about the area but also it’s history. I was shown some breathtaking views, in particular the Vikos Gorge. George not only took me to places in the itinerary but also to a couple of places he thought might be of interest to me. I had a fantastic day, thank you😊
