- Gabriela17 contributionsA good choice for summer vacation!!!It is a well positioned beach. The sand is not very fine but there are wooden sleepers, but the beach is wide, the water is clean and quite deep very close to the shore. Along the beach there are several restaurants and bars on the beach where the food is fresh and tasty. I served food at Thalassa Seaside Restaurant most of the time and I recommend Graviera pie with egg and black truffle, fried squid and Greek salad (from the restaurant not from the bar) again the coffee is very goodTraveled with familyWritten August 24, 2020

Great holidayThis was our Third visit to this hotel .It was as good as ever Only thing it getting hard getting up and down the steps with your luggage as you get older. The breakfast was still excellent The staff good The owners are still going strong and are lovely people. Parga I self was alot busier than other visits and beach was a more sunbeds and some alot dearer there was a just down from the hotel that changed 10 euros and that was excellent. Our room was very good and the maid service was excellent towels changed often.Traveled as a coupleWritten October 18, 2022
- Jayne BChepstow, United Kingdom308 contributionsLovely big beachWe stayed on Voltos beach last week September, first week of October. Lovely long beach with Parga castle on headland one end and a small harbour and church the other, worth a walk along and if you can take something to feed the cats. The beach is serviced by many bars and hotels with varying types of loungers and pricing. Some offer the beds with the price off their food and drink, others flat rate. The sandy bit is from the middle down towards the harbour end. The castle end is shingle and beach shoes are needed. Water lovely and clear but mind the fish as they do nip! Great snorkelling down by the rocks. 2 water sport areas, each end and the water taxi round to Parga town goes several times an hour, so lots to see and watch if you don’t want to participate. First week of October the sunbeds and disabled access point were taken away the castle end and some areas were very quiet. On an evening, sailing boats come in and moor up for the night which makes it very pretty with great views up to the castle which is all lit up. You can walk to castle and Parga town from the beach up a pedestrianised path at the end giving fantastic views over both sides.Traveled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2021

You can go by boat from the port of Parga €6 each. Voltas beach is sharp sand so not very family friendly and is full of beds and umbrellas. The yellow beds are free if you buy from the Captains Taverna. We didnt know this and got stung of €10 each on the beds opppsite.
The sea is crystal clear and has fish swimming around so take a snorkel. Donr get the beds where the boat docks as its a nuisance if your going in the sea and got young uns to watch as the boats are constantly in and out. Theres paragliding, mad dingy pull ride, donuts on the sea.
The tavernas are not bad price either and you can get snacks and drinks.
Its very hot so be prepared.
Theres steep steps from the port and not pram friendly. The walk can be hard work when its hot. Take water.

Beach is excellent and there is a few little beaches within walking distance too.
The people are wonderful, it’s a place where you never have to lock your room doors no one would touch anything. If your staying up the hill, make sure you have good walking shoes especially at night but in general, the road back is good.
I’m definitely coming back again!!!

Lovely soft sand and crystal clear waters. This is a larger beach than the one over the headland in Parga. Plenty of sunbeds/umbrella's for which there will be a charge of around 10 euro a day. There is a small section of beach without sunbeds on. There is also a water taxi to Parga running most of the day and evening at 2.50 euro per person. A lot of people used this to visit the beach from Parga, and so didn't need to change from their swimwear. The trip is only 5/10 mins and runs on the hour and half hour.

A quite big beach covered with pebbles, very clear and clean water. The sunbeds and umbrellas were free at the Valtos Beach bar and the prices of the drinks were very reasonable. Totally recommended if you like organized beaches.

We spent one day here. The beach was ok but too crowded for our taste and too loud music which made it difficult to relax or read. We preferred the beaches Piso Krioneri and the wonderful Sarakiniko.

One of my worst experience in Greek beach. There were umbrellas everywhere and you couldn't find a place to set your own towel without renting an umbrella. If you are an umbrella guy, visit it. Otherwise, run away!

That's the problem with almost all the beaches in the area. There are hotels built right on the beach so unless you stay or are willing to negotiate the maze of narrow roads that lead to said hotels you can't get there. Do not bother to drive there. There's no parking and there isn't enough room for two cars on the road. If you meet another car coming from the opposite way, one of you must go God knows how far back in reverse. It's a nightmare. And supposedly you go to the beach. It's covered in sunbeds and umbrellas so if you are one of the carefree travelers who want to sit on the sand under their own umbrella, you've no place there. This summer particularly, it was really insane to see a practically empty beach where there was nowhere to sit except for the sunbeds.

Amazing, this was truly an amazing beach. Not too far from Parga, had crystal clear water, a lot of water sports like parasailing, etc. As in July 2022, it wasn't too crowded and the prices were OK for the level of service.

Pebble beach where you kinda need water shoes to go in to the water. Short walk from Parga Town, or you can take a taxi boat. Alot of different sun beds to choose from for around 12 euros a set. It gets deep really quick so be careful. Valtos Beach is more busy than for example Lichnos, but less busy than the one in Parga Town. Clear and clean water. Alot of different restaurants to choose from along the beach.

Nice beach, you can do as well some water sports. I did parasailing with 55€ for 2 people, the guys are amazing, worth every cent!
Water is very clear...more clear further the castle. Sand is burning, so have some water shoos, or flip flops

Have been looking at Parga for our 2020 holiday it looks lovely I also like the look of Voltos , can anyone tell me how long it would take to walk into Parga for the evening we are reasonably fit so hills are not a problem during the eve , we would use water taxis on many eves as this sounds a fun way to travel but do enjoy a stroll

There is a lot of small/narrow streets use can use. I guess the map you are looking at is the road. So yes, if you have an appartement next the old castle should be ok.

Hi, vincent. What would you like to know about this attraction? Hi Could you have not just moved to another part of the beach? as we found plenty of other places to relax also 8 euros for 2 beds and a parasol for a whole day is not bad at all considering what you have to pay in the likes of Spain.

How's the best way to get from Lefkas to Veltos beach ?

Hi Trudy, I think rogier has answered the question and that would be the best option, also there are virtually no service buses which can be an option in some places.

Can anyone inform me if you purchase a set of sunbeds for the day e.g. from Captains, can you use their toilet for duration of day without having to buy drink or food everytime? Thanks in advance

My understanding is as long as you buy once you will be ok to use during the day
