It takes a lot of stairs up but once on the top, the views are magnificent and breathtaking!!! If you can make it at sunset ...... wow!!!! Along the way up there are a lot of shops for souvenirs.

Located on the steep mountainside, this citadel is free to access and provides some spectacular views of Parga and Valtos beach. There is a cafe/restaurant located inside. It is very rocky and steep so probably not suitable for those who require wheelchair access

If you are a nervous parent with young children you best shut your eyes or let them go with someone else. Fantastic place to explore. Sheer drops and unfenced. Great views. Seemed to be open the whole time but I wouldn’t want to get locked...More

Parga Castle is dominating the city and the beach, making all pictures look good. To reach the castle, you have to climb a series of stairs between small gift shops. The view from the top is amazing, especially at night.

quite a walk to get there and slippery and unstable when you do but the views are breath taking and the site itself is full of hidden rooms and hideaways.

We were most surprised to find a cafe within the cast walls. The history of the castle is fascinating. Quite a lot of it left to see. The cafe had some delicious food, and drink, all served up by a lovely lady.

Walk up to the castle from Parga town and you will not be disappointed. Take the time to walk around the ruins and take in the amazing views over Parga and Valtos which are spectacular. The views from the restaurant are stunning and their Greek...More

Free to enter this is the third time over the years we have visited the castle and some tidying up has been carried out and the castle boasts its own taverna for drinks and light meals where we retreated to avoid the rain. Great locations...More

It's quite a trek up here from the harbour. The castle is mostly in ruins but there are some surprisingly interesting parts to look about including some intriguing passageways. But why most people come up I am sure is the view of both Parga and...More

Yes you can just go and wander around free of charge. Lovely views over Parga bay. Don't know about the cafe opening times but expect it would be expensive. It's not a vast area to visit so cafes in town are aplenty.

Just walk up the pedestrian street at the back of the beach. It is lined with shops and bars, so you can just stroll up the street at your own pace. At the top of the street just turn left and you have arrived. Well worth... More
