Sivota, Parga & Acheron River

1 review
One of the most beautiful, as well as known through the Greek mythology, points of Epirus, is Acheron river. There, we will learn the history of the river, in ancient Greece and the souls that crossed it with the boat of Charon to arrive to the underworld. Also we will visit Sivota, to explore the beautiful beaches that remembers you how the paradise looks.

We visited this pebbled beach on two occasions due to it being one of the best beaches to do snorkeling. The beach is a short walk on from the harbour beach. We rented two sun loungers and a parasol for 5 euros for the day . I would recommend rock pumps for this pebbled beach, which are priced approx 8 euros from the local shops. There is also a couple of bar/restaurants on this beach for lunch snacks.

It's modest only compared to the ones in the nearby area. What gets me is the fact that there's a hotel built right on it. If you want to go there you can either cross the hotel lobby or take a very narrow road, more like a path, next to a tavern.

It’s a great beach, but there’s not many sunbeds so u have to get up early and get em. And it’s also stony beach, so if you prefer sand it’s better to choose nearby city beach or valtos beach😊

Great place to swim but don't forget wet-suit shoes. The pebbles are really hard to walk on. The water is clear and there is room to sit on the beach without being right on top of the regimented loungers and umbrellas. There are a couple of tavernas and a supermarket close by if you forget any essentials.

Krioneri Beach is actually the best beach of Parga area. The scenery is fabulous, the beach is well organized, the water is clear and not cold and the sea is not veey deep for young children. Swimming to the small island is fun and a must to do.
