Located approx 4.5km (10min taxi ride / 1hr hilly walk) south of Faliraki town centre you will find Traganou beach. I had this as a destination to visit on one of my morning runs, and if I’m honest I’m not usually a big fan of pebble beaches, however this is in a nice spot with decent facilities, including showers, a taverna and toilets, and if you are into snorkelling it has a rocky outcrop on its northern aspect.
It was deserted (06:30am) when I visited do can’t comment on how busy it gets. Sun loungers are the same price as on the nearby beaches of Faliraki & Kathara (€10 for 2 beds and an umbrella).

I must say - hidden gem. When I read about Rhodes, nobody says about this place. It's very wide and long, pebble beach, with crystal clear water.
Sunbeds are 15€, and there is two or three, place to eat or drink. It's very peacefull, calm, great for snorkeling.
There is also a lot of place for your own umbrella or towels, and even inside caves, but I didn't try that, although there was people there

The beach is long and made from pebbles, not sand. The water here is crystal clear and there are a couple of caves to explore. Lots of people think the cave on the beach is the only cave; it isn't. Go in the water on the far left of the beach and walk around the rocks, and there is a beautiful cave with a beach inside it! Above the beach on the hill, are old guns watching over the sea. During the summer season there are a couple of bars and restaurants. I love this beach despite the pebbles.

Our Greek friends invited us for a day with their family to this beach. It is far less touristy than the nearby Anthony Quinn Beach. You can hire umbrellas and sun beds. The beach is clean, there are showers and changing rooms and lots of parking.
It gets deep quickly and the entry is rocky. Wear flip flops or reef shoes as the hot stones are painful to walk on. You can leave shoes or flip flops at the water's edge while you swim.
There is a lovely Taverna on the beach serving god food at reasonable prices.
We spent over 6 hours here and loved it. Swim, eat, swim coffee, etc. What Greece is all about. Family, friends, sun and fun.

Wonderful beach with stones! Worth seeing it , don’t stop at the first set of sun beds but go right to the end on the left side facing the beach ,there you will find a beautiful place get sun beds and swim in the crystal water! You can also swim and see a beautiful cave! There is a nice Greek taverna where you can eat something the food is quite good or simply buy drinks or sandwiches !!!

This beach was interesting for us because of the cave.We wanted to see how does it look like.It is big beach, standard with plenty of sunshade, and things like that which were not important to us.We had a shade in front of the cave, and the water was lovely.Perfect clean, with perfect deep for swimming, with small stone.Perfect for diving, because of the rocks and cave.

I've been to so many beaches but Traganou got the No.1 position! Love at first sight! You may be fooled at first when you see just the sandy part with the tavern. If you walk though around the big rock at the left end of the beach, then it hits you! Clean beach, clear crystal blue water (take that for granted for every beach in Rhodes!), great landscape, much more eye-interesting. Plus, this natural seperation.by the rock, gives you a sense of privasy. And last but not least, when it's windy, it's the perfect chance to go and play with the waves!

You know you have found the best beach when its full of locals and it was exactly that! We spent two full days here and it was the best beach we visited (around 6 in total). Water is crystal clear scenery is beautiful. There are some caves to the north side but didn’t really think much to them but something to do for half an hour. Two beds and umbrella were €10 for the day. Very peaceful and beds were spread out. The best part is this is a pebble beach so no sticky sand to contend with :-) (may be a con if you like a sand beach) I do not think buses run here but could be wrong, the beach is around 400m from the main road which buses run along.

I was in rodi for a trip with friends and the local people spent really good words about this beach, Traganau. They were right, the beach is amazing! Unfortunately we went to the bar of the beach to eat something and grab a coffee...immediately the waiter was really impolite with us, doing really bad faces. Nobody attended us that’s why we decided to go directly to the bar to take just a coffee. An other waiter (the one of the picture) started to do grimaces just because we asked for 3 different types of coffee. While I was drinking the waiter set in front of me screaming to be quick and asking for money. After that she started to say bad sentences about us. It was a shame because we left the beach because of the terrible service.

Lindos looks idyllic from a distance, a picture postcard village sitting below a magnificent castle, and it should be.
Sadly though a visit, even at a relatively quiet time of year and early in the day revealed a mass of coach tours as well as other visitors making it totally overcrowded and unenjoyable, having to shuffle through the narrow streets and up castle steps without opportunity to enjoy.
We quickly gave up and looked for other places!
