Sunset in Zia

3 reviews
Charming Zia in the southernmost slope, whose superb location makes it the perfect spot for viewing spectacular sunsets and gazing at the nearby islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos as well as the Turkish coast in the distance.

During the summer the settlement of Zia is bursting with activity from the countless visitors who come to taste local delicacies served in charming traditional taverns, to purchase unique local products and souvenirs and to stroll through the cobblestone alleyways all the way up to its crystal-clear fresh water springs, the most well-known of which is Kefalovrisi.

A lovely small quiet beach with a great food van above it serving cold beers and lovely food. 8 Euros for 2 beds and a parasol. We went at the beginning of October and it was not busy (Also due to COVID etc) so I don't know if it would get busy at peak times. It's one of the nicest beaches on the island and well worth a visit.

Highly recommend this beach for anyone, it’s lovely and quiet with a sandy sloping beach into the clear sea which my children loved. We paid 7€ for a couple of sunbeds with a parasol (there was free coffee too) . Sunbeds had a thick cushion not like the cheap hard ones you sometimes get! There’s a brilliant snack van manned by a Greek couple that has the most delicious Gyros for only 250€. If you can go ...... def worth the visit! The ants on the beach are the biggest things ever, but they left us alone :)

Did a bit of research before we decided to drive here and glad we did. Easy to find, plenty parking and no walking involved at all! Loads of lovely, comfy sun beds and not expensive- €7 for 2 and a parasol. At lunchtime, the lady brought everyone free watermelon too!! A lovely sandy beach, a gentle slope into the sea and no noise! This is not an activity beach but is perfect if you want to chill and relax. There’s a lovely take away van, “Cantina” in the car park. Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and selection. A cracking day out on the beach!
