Guys I guess it recently just changed property, because its name on folder was Naboo. But photos reflect it and it was on black beach.
In a sentence: its management has been embarrassing!
Prices for umbrellas and seats were NOT written anywhere, just erased. I asked a waiter who said it was FREE when eating at restaurant on beach side ; then once sorted down they ran after me to ask me to pay 10€. Then again another waiter arrived speaking to its colleague IN GREEK (not to be understood), then told me I had to pay 15€ indeed!
After several discussions, no way, I had to pay .
Incredible, for sure amateurs on the loose.
Suggestion : do not trust them.

I’m not one for spending a lot of time on beaches. I find them boring and rather unsettling places to be in general !! For me to spend more than an hour on a beach is a rarity.

Mesa Pigadia Beach was different. Yes, it is volcanic sand and the sea is rocky to walk in … but the setup is fantastic. We hired two hammocks at the sea-front for €50 for the entire day and expected to use them for an hour at most… we had excellent service from the waiting staff and ended up being so relaxed that we spent more than 4 hours there. We had an excellent lunch sat in the sheltered balcony of the onsite beach cafe and returned to our hammocks with some delightful ice cream and a glass of cool beer. On-site parking was free and the whole environment was very clean and tidy.

The on-site staff were very friendly, helpful and not at all pushy. An excellent beach stay form someone who doesn;t really like beaches !

At the end of a severely rutted road lies this beach of black pebbles and rocks. All services were closed when we visited on Dec 10. We were the only people at the location. In addition to the restaurant, it looks as if there are also cabanas that can be rented which are really on the beach. It looks that during high tide there is not much beach to enjoy though.

We came straight from Oia, but the trip was rewarded. Very good beach with a super beach bar and restaurant, AKRO, where you can rent some comfortable beach beds with a very good bar and restaurant service.

Mesa Pigadia is a nice smaller beach with rocks and pebbles. It is calm and quiet and not as crowded as the more famous beaches.

We went towards the end of the afternoon for a swim. Few people, quiet, clean and clear water (as everywhere else).

Out of the three famous beaches (Red, Black and White), the White beach has the easiest access but it is not the best. Good place to park your car and then take a boat taxi to visit the Red Beach or walk to the Black Beach.

Also called Black Beach this is a neat place to visit. To me the beach itself is nothing as it is all stones but the water is clear and clean and the cliffs have caves hollowed out where the fishermen used to keep their gear. Great for photos. Down the left of the beach is a newish restaurant called Akrotiri beach bar which is very nice. Free parking and use of the sun beds for patrons. We only had coffee here but the service was good and friendly. Nice views as well

The way the sand is black is astonishing and the views out of the sea was beautiful. I made the mistake visiting when it weren’t high season though. When I got there contractors were just renovating and taverna was closed. Places like this should have seasonal opening times.

Great little family taverna on a small black beach. Chicken Slovaki was moist cooked over coals and a nice portion. The tzatziki however had that much garlic in it burnt your mouth and we couldn’t eat it otherwise would have been higher score
