Santorini Volcano and Hot Springs Boat Tour

We offer a peaceful romantic trip with the essence of a cruise.
Reaching the small port of Nea Kameni, you can walk up and visit this wild landscape with the different volcanic rocks and the active craters, where there is still smoke coming out.
When we reach Hot Springs the water temperature is 30-35 degrees Celsius but it constantly mixes with seawater.
After swimming at the hot springs the boat will start a sail around the caldera where you can take magnificent pictures of the landscape and the houses that literally hang on the edge of the cliff, in combination with the beautiful colours of the sunset. All while on a wooden boat with sails, listening to nice music and enjoying a glass of local wine.

Spent hours waiting around picking people up, way too many people considering covid is very much a thing, pretty much sitting side by side. no staff even spoke us to introduce the day tour. We were told there would be a reduced people due to the virus however both levels of the boat were packed full. probably better options available.

I couldn't agree more with Steinar S who has also reviewed the same tour that we were on (Volcano, hot springs and Therasia). Firstly I would advise against the boat tour whether with this or any other company as it can get extremely hot. The day we went it was 35c which feels even more on the volcano with literally no shade. At €25/person this is not cheap and what you get is not worth it at all. The tour was overbooked with NO social distancing at ALL. I would have considered it overbooked in normal times yet alone during a pandemic. We were given less than 60mins on the volcano (note there is extra charge to go on the volcano on top of the €25) which was not enough time. We chose not to go for swim in the hot springs but those that went were given literally 10mins of swim time. There were at least 5 other boats full of tourist at the springs at the same time causing a big traffic jam. On the island of Therasia we had 90mins for lunch but this is a very small island and if you are not doing the 30min hike to go up the choice of restaurants is limited to 4-5 on the waterfront which were not equipped to handle the sudden influx brought by the tour boats. The restaurants were overwhelmed to the extent that they refused to take even take-away order leaving us with no option but to go back hungry. By the time we left Therasia people were exhausted and were using the toilets bare feet, sleeping on the benches with no care about social distancing or hygiene. Staff on the boat couldn't care less and at no point tried to help. In short AVOID this company during or after the pandemic. It is definitely NOT worth the money.

I and my wife were on Santorini and partook in an excursion with boat to the vulcano, the hot springs and the neighbour island Therasia the corona summer 2020. It could have been nice, if they hadn`t ignored all the infection control measure that the promoted through the load speaders and through several posters on the boat. Nobody kept distance, the boat were over filled with too many people and nobody used a mask, altthough it was mandatory, according to the staff. The staff didn`t bother to use it themselves in periods. I tried to speak to one of the staff and told him that we were worried because of the situation, but he was angry and told me that it was up to each and everybody to keep the infection control measures. I can not recommend this company and their excursions as long as the corona pandemia we have the corona threat

Likek others we were in line for the Cable car and decided to spend a few dollars and see Oia "conveninetly". We also were told the boat was leaving in 5 minutes and waited another 40 - they will not leave until the boat is full - so gauge accordingly. Fast boat? I have sailed faster! There was a bus waiting for us in Oia (Port Ammoundi) and took us up to the bus station. Buses did leave on time so we got back to Fira with lots of time to spare. So was it worth the 15 euros? Depends on how you calculate the value of your time! Other options? Local bus is 1.40.

In about 1500 BCE the volcano erupted with such force that the center of the island literally exploded leaving a partially submerged crater into which you sail. It has dramatic beaches and beautiful sunsets. We tendered from our cruise ship to the Santorini calderas at the Old Port of Fira. At the dock was Santorini Dakoutros Speed (22860. 23692) that for 15 Euro each took us via a 20-minute boat ride from the Old Port of Fira to Ammoudi Bay. We then walked up a steep hill to board a bus (that had backed down a long, windy road) perhaps 15 minutes to Oia (pronounced Ia). We were then on our own to explore Oia—a very picturesque place with stunning views of their white buildings and the sea beyond. At designated times we could catch the bus for a 15-minute ride from Oia to the City of Fira. There we explored the city and shops. I see other reviews that are negative. We had a wonderful experience and would repeat it if there again.
