Santorini Road Trips was the perfect tour for me and my wife on our first trip to Santorini (part of a cruise trip). Nick was amazing and so kind we felt like we were part of the family. We booked a "small group tour" which we were expecting up to 10 people. We were surprised to find that it was just us!! Sweet! Their policy is that if they accept your reservation, they will still give you a tour even if you're the only one that signed up that day. (We were there on the 2nd-to-last week before the season ends in November.) Nick treated us like visiting family (that you like having visit). He asked us if there were any priority places we want to go to. Us not knowing where the iconic photo spots were, he recommended that we go there first. So he got us there ahead of the rest of the cruise tours and other tourist companies so we had ALL the iconic locations of Santorini to ourselves!! From what we know from google, the blue roof buildings and sunset photo locations are standing room only during peak season, and we were there by ourselves!! He after the main Santorini village visit, he took us to the rest of the island and explained local culture and historical features that you can find anywhere else. The rest of the island was as amazing as the 2 main tourist cities on the island. The 8 hour day flew by we were having so much fun. He recommended a fantastic lunch place on the beach, stopped for snacks at a local establishment and sampled the Santorini wines and breads. If you go to Santorini, don't book a mass excursion with the cruise line or another bus company. Boot with Santorini Road Trips (ask for NIck as your guide if possible), and you'll be treated like family who loves you. No regrets at all. TIP: Don't spend all your time in the villages. After you take your pictures, there is so much to see and explore outside away from the narrow walking corridors on the rest of the island that you don't want to miss.

What a refreshing experience amid covid-frenzy! After our initial Santorini visit and use of the SRT services back in 2016 (Private scenic Oia tour), we decided to book with them once again. To our surprise Michael, our previous driver/guide, was there again to give us a warm welcome. I can honestly say that he offered us another chance of immencing into hidden aspects of this magnificent island that didn't have the chance to discover on our previous trip. As being lovers of good wines, our friends suggested taking the private Sightseeing tour & Wine tasting, a choice that proved a jem stone to our senses and wine knowledge. With several stops in different wineries, you literally have no excuse of not being overwhelmingly satisfied. Lastly, it shouldn't go unnoticed that all covid precaution measures were followed by the company, as our driver was wearing a face mask and sanitizing gel was available throughout the trip. Overall, a worth commenting memory. A big thank you from all of us!

My wife and I did the "Private wine adventure tour" with Michael and enjoyed our time out for just over 4 hours trying three wineries and four of their wines. Sadly one of the wineries (Gavalas) card machine wasn't working so we weren't able to buy bottles from here. Also with the middle winery it includes a winery museum tour, which sounds innocent, but I'm a bit of a nerd for knowledge especially about the drink I enjoy! This museum should NOT be underestimated and is huge. A lot of it could probably be skimmed over, but if this is something you might enjoy, my advice is to maybe switch this around and do it last as we spent too long down there and had to reschedule the booking for the last winery. That way it wouldn't be too rushed and you can enjoy it more. I guess fundamentally this is a private car service, but Michael is a great guy and seemed to know a lot about the island and how the wine is made which supplemented the wine tastings. Considering that the tasting were 15 euros each, we thought it actually turned out to be pretty good value.

We had a great tour, thanks to our guide, Panagiota. We did a personalized trip and hadn’t given the tour company our itinerary beforehand, but Panagiota was knowledgeable about all of our stops. She is very enthusiastic and is obviously passionate about sharing her love for Santorini. She’s also a great photographer and makes sure guests have photo keepsakes they can look back on.
For our tour, we visited Three Bells, then to Hatzidakis Winery where we learned about the unique vine trellis methods of Santorini. From there, we went to Akrotiri (the archaeological site). It was the most unique museum experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommend visiting Akrotiri (even for non-museum fans). It’s truly unique. We capped it off at Venetsanos Winery, which has a STUNNING view, before heading to the airport. (We accidentally went to the wrong gate at the airport and Panagiota ran from her van when she saw us to show us the right place to go. She’s the best.)

Do not even think about Santorini without asking for Panagiota to personally show you the real culture of the island! She asked us what we wanted to experience and made some recommendations and formulated a plan to help us see Santorini in a way we never could have dreamed of. She drove with great care and shared the history of the island and the culture. A wine tasting paired with a visit to a wine museum was a great start to the day. She allowed us to explore underground caves, walk the narrow lanes, dine at a local restaurant in true Greek family style. We visited the highest peak near the monastery and witnessed a beautiful sunset, shopped a bit. Most importantly, we felt like we made a personal connection! We will always remember our visit to Thira because of the incredible support from Panagiota!

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable trip. We did a 3 stop winery tour. Our favourite stop was at Art Space, the smallest winery on the island but so friendly and hospitable. Esmeralda was a fantastic host, and gave us the pleasure of introducing us to the owner Antonis. It also helped that the wine was outstanding, and they have the facility to ship their produce to your home. A must visit for me. Our tour guide from Santorini road trips, Panos, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and George (or Doddy the driver) was very professional, accommodating, and supportive on the tour. The vehicle was spacious, clean, and comfortable, George was a very safe and experienced driver. A tour combination that worked very well. Nothing was a problem for these guys, I would highly recommend using them whilst you are visiting the island. First class act, thank you, from your Scottish guests 👍

First time to Santotini. Our guide Argyris (Archie) was so knowledgeable about all things Santorini. He was very accommodating with any changes we wanted to make to the original tour. He was very kind to help us on some challenging steps we had to climb & took his time explaining each site.

We had an incredible day with our guide, Thanos. He got us in and out of the high traffic spots with ease, often dropping us close and then running around from the parking lot on the other side once he parked the car. He had all the knowledge, charm, and pleasant demeanor you could ever hope for in a tour guide, or a friend. I have no doubt that if we had more time on the island that Thanos would have had us eating his mother’s moussaka. He took us through his old village (see photo) and would often point to a cousin’s or uncle’s house (we tried to say hello to an uncle, but he was out). Thanos also joined us for a lunch off the beaten path, where we got to learn all about his family and many local traditions. Ten out of five stars!

We took the unique non-touristy Santorini tour and it could not have been more perfect! We toured the tomato industrial museum and sampled classic tomato paste. We also went to the medieval Castle of Emporio, the windmills, and stunning countryside. We finished with a tour and tasting at Hatzidakis vineyards where the wines were outstanding. Our guide was knowledgeable and able to narrate in perfect English. Thank you Arzy for the added touches, recommendations and the delicious baklava. Efcharisto!!!

Panagiota was truly amazing and took the time to make my experience of wine tasting unforgettable. I went to see Venestanos winery and also went to another local winery and learnt about the rich history of Venestanos, architecture and also the variety of wines. I will always remember this trip not only for the good wine but for the attentiveness of Panagiota too.

Hi there, we are 4 adults arriving on board a Carribean cruise on 29 May 2020. We would like to consider your 6 hour private tour. Do you do pick up at the cruise terminal? What time do you recommend we start the tour? We are not sure what time we can go on shore and will check. Very likely earliest is 8 am.

Dear traveler,
The pick up for all cruise ship individual passengers is from the cruise port top cable car exit, where your guide/driver will be holding a sign with your name written on. The cruise port is located at the bottom of the steep cliffs, where there is no car access. That is why the 3 minute cable car ride is necessary for all the cruise ship travelers.
You may select starting time at 8:30am.
In case you show up later please have no concerns, as we will be waiting for you indefinitely. Most importantly your tour starts upon meeting your guide.

We will arriving to Santorini October 22, 2019 on board of NCL Spirit from 8am to 8 pm. We are a family of 4 and we want to book the tour to see the sunset in Oia. I checked the sunset hour for that day and it will be at 6:33 pm. At what time do you think is the best time to book the tour so we can enjoy the sunset and return to Fira's port on time for our departure at 8:00 pm?

hello can you help
looking at booking the 3hour panoramic tour for 2 adults ship docks at 1 pm and leaves at 10pm it looks like the cable car takes some time if i book 4 pm tour does this leave time to re board ship.

Email them and let them know your wishes and worries. They are pretty good about returning emails. And... Yes. You have plenty of time. If it starts at 4 & ends at 7... You have time for dinner or a lil shopping after or sunset. Cable car doesn't take a ton of time.
Just find out what time your ships last gondola goes to your ship. We took the very last one. Give the cable car thing about 45 mins... Depending how many ships docked and leaving at same time. We were the only ones leaving, but another ship had come in. 30-45 mins from line on cable car & on gondola, w time to spare.

Certainly we may customize a 6 hours private tour, that will include all your favorite destinations. This is actually our speciality. According to our experience you will be at the cable car exit at around 8:30 since the disembarkation process takes some time. There is pleanty of time for a 6hrs tour. Even after the drop off in Fira town you will also have some time to spend before returning to the vessel.

Your tour will include the best highlights and viewpoints of Santorini such as: Panoramic views, traditional villages, volcanic beaches and perhaps a winery and an arcaeological site. Certainly if you wish to enjoy lunch in one of the seaside or traditional restaurants in Santorini, it will be also included in the itinerary.
A private excursion invluding all the above takes approx. 6 to 8 hrs. and costs 40 EUR per hour. The duration is flexible as well as the departure time.
