Faragas Beach is beautiful with dramatic rock formations on each side, shallow clear water and beach amenities (beach bar, chairs and umbrellas for rent, toilets, shower). You could also choose to bring your own umbrella etc and set those up on the beach.

The beach is wonderful but the beach bar is terrible. No service and nothing edible there. It’s a pity

I think that this beach is in top 3 beaches of Paros. It has clear waters with sand everywhere. The only disadvantage is that you need to have your equipment cause the beach bar is always packed.

If you want to visit this place during the high season make sure to be there before 11:00 or make reservation in advance. The sun beds cost 9 euros considered as reasonable for such place in Paros. But the restaurant and bar are overpriced and...More

Enjoyed a nice day at this really nice beach. Sun beds reasonable. Food and drinks good. Lots of families since the water is so calm and crystal clear. Kayaks and paddle boards available. Clean bathrooms and showers. Good music.

Deck chairs and umbrellas are the best in Paros. The beach also has a bar and restaurant and the only beach as far as I know to provide showers and free parking. The music is classical in the early morning and slowly builds up to...More

This is it, out of more than 12 beaches we have tried. Is in the south so waters are calm and you are saved from small dust tornados, no matter the wind force. Very well organized, great (a bit on the upper price side) restaurants....More

The beautiful beach that offers everything you need for a day at the beach. Comfortable sun loungers, good food and appetizing cocktails. Also good music.

Without a vehicle, what is the best way to get to the beach from Archipelagos Resort and Villas. Is the bus close by able to get us to this beach or Santa Maria Beach. First timers to Paros and Greece.

Archipelagos Resort is 1,7 km away from the main road (where the bus runs), so it's hard to rely on the bus to go to the beaches. You'll always need a rented car.
Trip Report from Paros (4 Replies)
I visited Paros for a week. I guess since i am Greek i have a different point of view. still i would like to share my impressions... My wife and i stayed at hotel Narges in Alyki village at the southern part of the island, checked in on July 20th for a week. Since we had our car along to move around we found the location good; we were looking for a place to relax and the peaceful and traditional village of Alyki was ideal in our books. The hotel was nice. Giovanna at the reception...More

Thanks for a detailed and nice trip report! You mentioned two beaches I am quite fond of in Paros: Faragas and Glyfa. Not unknown, but not so popular as other beaches on the island. Glad you enjoyed them, along with Soros on Antiparos, which again I very much like. I tend to agree with your observations about some taverns lucking ambience in Parikia, about Naoussa turning a Mykonos-wanna-be and about importance on timing to visit some towns. Nice tips and spot on info for future visitors.

We will be arriving in Paros Sept.16th late morning and will have the rest of that day plus one more day to explore. We are looking at a half day tour to visit Panagna Ekatontapyliani, Old Port Naoussa and Leftkes. Was hoping to go to Faragas Beach but not sure we can get that in? Any suggestions or recommendations and what to take out?

If you are staying in Parikia you don’t need a tour to Ekatontapyliani, just walk there. It’s about 5 minutes from the ferry docks. Lefkes and Naoussa are on different bus routes from Parikia, but both are worth visiting. There are lots of good beaches in and around both Parikia and Naoussa.
