Lefkes
About
If you’re in Paros, don’t miss out on visiting the traditional village of Lefkes. The maze of narrow cobblestone streets are lined with traditional white-washed houses, many now used as small hotels, guesthouses, and restaurants. The House of Literature, Monument to the Heroes of War, and the Holy Trinity Church are all worth seeking out. The historic Byzantine trail is about an hours walk, and you can catch a bus from Prodromos that will take you back to the Lefkes. Visit in the late afternoon, when the village comes alive and takes on a golden glow from the warm light of the setting sun. – Tripadvisor

    Awesome Mountain Village
We loved walking around Lefkes and exploring this quaint, little mountain village. We drove there from Parikia and parked close to the little park in the middle of town. From there, we wandered along, exploring the town until we came up to the big church. We enjoyed some lemonade from a little establishment by the church and then walked around the church grounds. If you have the time, don't miss coming to explore this gem of a town.

Sweet village to explore in Paros
We drove to Lefkes village from Naoussa and parked up above the town. We walked down to explore the village and found it to be sweet with cobblestone streets, cafes, shops, homes, flowers, and a lovely church with beautiful architecture. We picked up coffee and from the right side of the church wall, we located the entrance path for the Byzantine road hike. Lefkes is a lovely town and worth a morning or afternoon if you want to explore away from Naoussa.

    A beloved mountain village
A quiet village that’s tucked between mountains, in the center of the island. Lots of history and some great restaurants. The main church and Byzantine path are worth the visit. Just a heads up: lots of walking and uphills. Bring comfy shoes.

Lovely, stunning, charming. Whatsoever is true for Lefkes. Former capital of Paros during Middle ages. The village retains typical character, serenity and laid-back atmosphere play prime here. The windmills dotted around, Cathedral of Agia Triada, winding narrow streets and number of taverns are main draw. The must is to do the Byzantine Trail from Lefkes to Prodromos which takes around one hour / 3KM . It is better to start in Lefkes than the other way around as it is mostly walking down, just for about 500 meters up. The best is takes a bus, stroll the village, hike the trail and return by bus from Prodromos or even from Piso Livadi.

We parked our car outside of Lefkes and discovered this beautiful village by foot. Countless alleys, all nicely and well maintained. On our way to the church we found just opposite a tiny little coffee: Kafeneio Marigos👌💥😀 Konstantinos served us their owned made cakes and we philosophied about actual situation in Paros and how a better future could look like😁

Lefkes left the most beautiful memory on our 10 days- 3 islands trip (Mykonos, Naxos and Paros).
Almost double smaller than Naxos, Paros has more to offer and we liked it more.
Apart the two main seaside towns of Parikia and Naousa, Lefkes is a jewel nestled in the island's very center.
Just park your car outside the village and stroll these beautiful maze of winding whitewashed streets with many tiny shops, restaurants and bars and small chapels around, dominated by the Orthodox Agia Triada Cathedral.
Count on around 2-3 hours for a memorable, leisure walk visit.

Foe over 10 years, we spend our summer vacation in Paros and always make sure to visit Lefkes. This is a beautiful historical town in the middle of the island. There, you will see unique shops to buy souvenirs. Make sure to eat the homemade delicious orange pie at Cafe Marigo across from the Holy Trinity Lefkes Orthodox Church. Highly recommended!

Topical Cycladic village. Extremely clean and friendly.
I highly recommend a visit in the early morning if you are in Páros. Don’t forget to visit the cafe by the big church and meet Konstantinos the owner.. he serves the best lemonade in town.
Truly a gem.
