Almost the first thing you see when you arrive in Naxos. It dwarfs you having stood there for thousands of years! And the sea really is deep blue!

Great place for a nice stroll and a quick visit. Beautiful if you can catch it at sunset-- we were unfortunate in that western clouds obscured our view.

Easy walk to see impressive doorway - fit for a God. Great views of the harbor - check out the rocky area near the sea for ancient stone foundations in the water - secluded enough for a great impromptu skinny dip!

Definitely worth the walk to see this piece of Naxos history! Look back towards town and you can get a good feel for Naxos. We put our feet in the water surrounding the monument! It was refreshing! Definitely take some time and explore.

I had a walk up to and around the Temple of Apollo whilst in Naxos on an evening. Its very picturesque on an evening to walk around, and a good view of Naxos Town from the top too. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful site to reflect on life 2,500 years ago. A different world but no less complicated. See how water cuts through rock nearby.

Near the harbor this gets a fair bit of traffic. It's nice to visit and has a good view of the ocean.
