Coastline dotted with secluded coves
Sep 2021 • Family
This whole coastline between Glyfada and Pyrgaki is dotted with little secluded coves. There were several days that we drove the little dirt road and pulled off to find our own private cove for the morning, some sandy, some rocky, but all with crystal clear water.
Our favourite was Emanuel’s beach…. Ssshhhh, don’t tell anyone!

Gorgeous beach!

This beach was virtually deserted in early October! Definitely recommend renting a car on Naxos and exploring these little ocean front areas!

It is an almost empty, beautiful beach. The water is wonderfully clean and the seabed is far shallow, is suitable for families with children. there is a nice little restorant on the beach.

One of the finest beaches in Naxos
Sep 2018 • Couples
This is an amazing beach. The sand is so beautifully soft underfoot. Pyrgaki is a bit off the beaten track so there is no tarred road to it. It does have a restaurant and sunbeams are available to hire.

not as nice as Agiossos beach, but still has a bona fide, end-of-the-road feel...
Sep 2018 • Couples
instead of spending every day at Agiossos, try Pyrgaki - picturesque, expansive, swimming, plenty of sand....

nice southern beach
Jul 2018 • Friends
what can I say, I simply love it, with its isolated juniper tree on the left, its unforgettable sunsets, the fine golden sand and blue sea. That's why this time I have rented an apartment with seaview in one of the houses just across the road (although I have always hated this block of houses that have nothing to do with the real chycladic style)
excellent for families with children

Nice private beach in September
Sep 2017 • Couples
This was pretty and large beach. When we arrived there were only three other people and they eventually left, so we had the entire place to ourselves. It is a nice swimming beach too. Not too rocky and it gets deep quickly so you can swim right away when you enter. We visited in mid-September. I'm sure an August day would be a lot different as far as the crowds.

Beautiful beach
Aug 2017 • Couples
A very large and beautiful sandy beach, mostly "uncontaminated" by human presence.
The only drawback was that it was extremely windy and there were very few sunbeds and umbrellas, therefore it was a bit difficult to find a place to stay comfortably (there are a few trees, but mostly on one side of the beach).

Further South from Alikyo beach

Plenty of on street parking at back of beach. Beach has coarse white sand but some areas have rocky bottoms which make it good for snorkelling. First part closest to road had some trees for shade and sea with a sandy bottom. It also had a few people swimming and hanging about. The beach stretches out for miles along the coast so you are sure to find an isolated spot. No umbrellas or deckchairs for hire but there did seem to be some taverna 500m along the first bit of beach, which we never visited and might have had some. Sea clear and enjoyable.

Best family beach in Naxos
Jul 2017 • Family
The other beaches may have higher ratings but this is the best family beach hands down. The main section with umbrellas is all sand all the way into the waters, which are sparkling clear a very shallow entry. Best swimming we enjoyed on the island and a cafe across the street that comes to your chair...Agios Prokopios has a bigger crowd and Plaka has nudists (and lots of rock at the entry point in most parts) if that's your thing, but this was far and away the most enjoyable beach. Wish we had found it sooner.
