We had an amazing day with Katia on Naxos! She is a fabulous guide with such extensive knowledge both through education and 20 years of experience that it was a fascinating tour. We even saw the oldest olive tree anywhere - 5000 years old! In one town we enjoyed a delicious cheese break followed by some shopping, a trip to a distillery and finished with a cheese pie dessert whose recipe is a closely guarded family secret. We toured several important sites as well as went high into the mountains and visited some of the towns - it was quite a full day! She even helped us buy a new suitcase to replace one broken on our way here. Katia speaks English fluently and is very warm, friendly and flexible. She offers a wide variety of different kinds of private and group tours too.

My wife and I did 2 tours with Naxos Cultural tours. First we did a cultural tour. With our fantastic and charming guide Georgine(sp?), we went to several beautiful small villages in the hills of Naxos. We ate at small local tavernas and had delicious local food. We learned some of the history of this unique island and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We also did a guided hike of Mt Zas with our guide George. The hike was challenging but George kept us entertained and we loved the spectacular views from the top. Both of these guides were fantastic.

There were ten of us on Katja’s tour. Mom had been to Greece several times, and wanted to share that passion with her family of three grown children and their partners, and three grandchildren in their mid-twenties. We fell in love with Katja immediately, every one of us, for a variety of reasons; She’s so very personable and intelligent, and deeply experienced in the tourism trade. With her rich knowledge of all things Greek, Katja would often stand in for the local tour guides at various locales, and it was clear that we got the better deal every single time. Seeing Greece through Katja’s eyes - the “secret gems” in various locales, the local culinary tips, the geo-political history, the grace with which she responded to personal needs or transportation adjustments…is there an aspect of Greece that she can’t address? We had the experience of a lifetime seeing Greece through Katja’s eyes. She is a true ambassador and a warm host for her country.
P.S. Ours was a broader tour of Greece. I remember when we got to Naxos Katja saying that this was her personal favorite "home base" so how wonderful that she's zeroing in on her very favorite. We will return for THAT indeed!

Oh my gosh!!!! Natasha did SUCH an amazing job touring us through the old and new parts of Naxos! She was incredible. We learned so much about the gastronomy of the island as well as the history behind all the noteworthy areas and attractions. I would HIGHLY recommend taking this tour AND asking for Natasha!

Such a great way to get to understand this beautiful island’s history! Great tour guide, who was very patient with our numerous of questions. She was full of tips - tour related and non tour related (like which is the best bakery in town). If we had stayed long enough we’d probably also do the mythology tour.

I just came back from an amazing 9 day family reunion (23 people) in Naxos, Greece. The trip was arranged and managed by Maria and Katia of Naxos Cultural Tours. My wife and I have traveled extensively all over the world and without hesitation I can say this was the best trip we ever had.
Maria and Katia organized and managed all the details for our family reunion. From ferry arrivals, departures, all transportation, hotel rooms, meals and guides to Naxos. Katia’s Naxos knowledge is simply amazing. Her knowledge about Naxos history and mythology is great. Since she also lives in Naxos her knowledge about local foods, restaurants, musicians etc. is also great. Katia arranged for us a number of tours including the mythology tour as well as off the bitten path locations to local farms, hikes among 1,000+ year old Olive orchards, sparsely populated villages and abandoned churches. Everyone in our 23 person group had a unique and memorable once in a lifetime experience.
If you are planning a trip to Naxos, Greece I highly recommend them, they are the best.

This was such a great day! We were paired with an informative guide who made us feel like we really had stepped back in time. We learned so much information about the island of Delos and it’s ancient history by walking through the real streets and homes of Ancient Greece. Later at Mykonos he provided a historical lens of Mykonos and it’s architecture before letting us go off and explore the the bustling present of the main town ourselves and having a bite for lunch.

We cannot imagine how that day would have been without having a professional guide with us!!! Antonis was excellent and provided us with an outstanding tour of the ancient site at Delos and also showed us around Mykonos. The tour was very well organized by Naxos Cultural Tours. Upon arrival to Delos while others were still waiting in line under the hot sun to buy their tickets we were already enjoying our guided visit away from the crowds…and when we reached Mykonos our guide led us right away to the highlights of the Town and showed us all the hidden treasures while other tourists without a guide were struggling to find their way around the meandering alleys… If you really want to get a real value of the one day cruise to Delos and Mykonos it is a must to join in that group! Highly recommended experience!!!!

We greatly enjoyed the 2.5-hour walking tour of Naxos old town and castle (Kastro). The tour includes also the Portara archaeological site overlooking Naxos port, the archaeological museum in the former Ursuline convent, and the excavation site close to the main church (Mitropolis).
Katia is a highly qualifie, friendly and open-minded guide, with deep knowledge of the history, religion, myths and present times of Naxos. She is happy to take questions and welcomes dialogue with tour guests. We learned a lot also about the broader context of Naxos' role as an important political and commercial center during the cycladic and the archaic periods. Katia's English is very good and she explains things in a clear and accessible manner. She also provided useful tips for other activities on the island, great places for food and drinks, etc.
We would highly recommend this tour for all travellers to Naxos! We will for sure try out further offers of Naxos Cultural Tours when we return to Naxos.

Great city tour with Katia! She combines the city history with Greek myths tied to the island of Naxos. She points so many interesting details that we missed during our casual walks in the city, from Grotta area, to the top of the Castro. Also we loved how passionate she is and her great historic knowledge! Don't miss it!
