An old place with history and some mystic

Myukonos is plenty of churchs and monasteries, but in this place you can see a enormous quantity of marble over the walls, something you can't imagine outside Acropolis.

We only went to the Monastery as on our way back to our hotel after a day out and was recommended in the guide book. Not really worth making a special trip to see.

We took a morning bus ride from our hotel to the Monastery. It was small & we were done seeing everything within half an hour. We then looked at the few shops in the square. It was too early for lunch & the next bus to return was not for another few hours so we took a taxi back to... More

The Monastery of Panayia Tourliani is very close to the restaurant that the cruise ship tours take their passengers to eat. It is worth a little pop-in. A quiet oasis.

The monastery was smaller than we had anticipated, but the location was lovely because it was surrounded with flowers and trees.

Although rated as average the monastery is nice to visit but only as part of a tour as it is a trek to get there. Best on a guided tour so you get to know the history. the views are however very good, local food at town square basic but good value.

It is not worth the trip but, if you pass by, it is a pleasant stop. Small church, there is not much to see but it speaks of a long religious tradition that continues till now. Entrance costs 1 Euro.

This site was included in a Scenic Views of Mykonos tour booked through Norwegian cruise lines. The Monastery of Panagia Tourliani was founded back in 1580. You walk through a beautiful red door to the courtyard which has a beautiful marble bell tower with intricate folk carvings. Inside their is a iconostasis (altar screen), made in 1775 by Florentine artists.... More

The Monastery was pleasant to view but wasn't the feature to me as I've seen/visited better. It is near Ano Mera and well worth a stop . The Town square was a great collection of Restaurants/Bars and Gift Shops with a secluded shady area to sit back and watch the world go by, Nice One !!
