A history lovers dream. Imagine an entire island with 3-5 thousand year old artifacts and about 15 other tourists. You are free to wander about the houses, markets, theater and temples. Some of the paths were a little hard to follow but hiking through this island should be on everyone's bucket list. The views of the Aegean Sea from the... More

Definitely off the beaten track and in November quiet and lovely. The weather cooperated and the ruins were fabulous. The hike to the top of the hill is arduous but well worth the vista and the temple to Venus.

First of all - do not book with Viator...! The booking made from Australia was grossly excessive and once on Mykonos this trip by ferry had easy access and was relatively a quick one. Be prepared for a quick whip around - if you want to see all the attractions - as much more time is required if you want... More

We spent several hours on this very interesting island which has a tremendous amount of ancient buildings and infrastructure from over two thousand ago. We were able to walk the streets and go into many of the ruins. It was so amazing to see and hear about the ingenuity of of civilization two thousand years ago.

We took a boat tour from Naxos. Spent three hours, could easily have missed the afternoon portion at Mykonos and stayed all day. Amazing vast site. Wear a hat and have lots of sunblock, the only shade is at the cafe and unairconditioned museum.

*Note* Our guide was atrocious. They put is in a huge group and we couldn't hear anything because it was so windy. Make sure you walk to the back, the museum is next to the cafe and well worth the quick wander through. Some of the preserved lions and mosaic floors gorgeous and well-cared for inside. Prepare for a lot... More

Delos is well worth visiting. You can purchase a ticket at the kiosk in Old Port – the port near the front of the town with all the restaurants and souvenir shops. The kiosk is located near the little church at the end of the port, at the start of the boat dock pier. The options to depart to Delos,... More

The weather was perfect and the day was beautiful for a boat ride to Delos. We booked this side trip while on a cruise and the tour company hired, Navigator Travel did a great job. Our tour guide, Constantine was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was a couple of hours long and he gave us a great deal of... More

If you are staying in Mykonos, Delos should not be missed. I would recommend doing a visit with a guide, you may otherwise miss the meaning of some of the ruins and getting explanations is helpful. It's a fantastic chapter of history. The museum next to the archeological site is also to be seen: the sculptures are incredible. The site... More

This island has so much to offer, for those of you interested in Greek history it is a must see. It is only a short boat ride from Mykonos (a bit of a bumpy one tho) and the boats are not very frequent at all. We booked a tour from our cruise ship and had the most amazing guide, she... More
