We spent a day at Agia Anna beach. The beach / Bay Area itself was lovely and we had a nice lunch at Spilia restaurant. However, these positives were outweighed by the excessive charges for beach beds (2+umbrella closest to water at @€120.-) and the pumping loud monotonous clubbing music coming from both the beach and the restaurant. If you like ostentatious service, loud music, and a bit of snobbery…then this beach is for you.

Ignore the stroppy reviews.
The staff were lovely and attentive for our group of 12. It is expensive with beds ranging from €35-150 for front row cabana.
Service was attentive all day. You can pay by credit card despite a review here to the contrary.
Lunch served at the bed or in the small restaurant with different menus at each. Fresh and tasty. Cocktails are well made and again fresh.
It’s no cheaper than all the glitzy beaches further west but the beach is nicer and the water less rocky. Nice swims in the small bay.

We rented a car to tour some of the other beaches on the Island and this was our favorite. It was not as busy as some of the others, the water was crystal clear, you could swim easily without fear of boats intruding, there was music playing in the background, but not loud enough to disturb you. We rented a couple of chairs and spent most of the day here.

We tried this beach club next to (or belong to ) Spilia which definitely worth a visit thinking that it will be a nice change from more famous beach clubs.
But that was crap.
Although the setting is nice, the staff is probably the worst you can find in Mykonos, you have to set your sunbed bill before going for lunch at the restaurant because they are scared you escape, the sun beds are more expensive than in Scorpios, Principote, Alemagou or Jackie O.
The loud bad music starts too early.
They kinda kick you off around 5.
We definitely won’t come back, there are so many better places in Mykonos to waste a day there.

We visited on a Saturday. The rental rates for two lounges and an umbrella started at 50€ and went up to 150€, depending on how close you wanted to be to the edge of the water.
And that was just the price of admission. The drink prices were also quite high.
What really put us off was the take it or move on attitude.

The agia Anna beach club is a disco, not a beach club. The music is so loud that you can't speak, impossible to relax. We asked to lower the volume a little but they didn't care. I do not recommend going there if you don't like loud music.

I am a Mykonos lover ( I have spent the last 10 summers in the island) and I know well many places . I have been in Agia Anna Others times but today It will be the last one . The price are overpriced but that’s quite normal in Mykonos , the problem is the staff very rude , not smiling; it seemed that they had to do you a favour . It is true the beach is very nice but it is quite normal in Mykonos .... at least spend your money in a place where the staff is super welcoming , smiling and giving you the idea is a value for money .

Wonderful beach, simple and cosy. Disappointing experience though, due to staff attitude and prices ( high cost for no reason). We had to wait for 45 minutes on the direct sun and they treated us in a discriminatory manner. And imagine that our house is 100 meters from the beach! Not recommended to people that they respect themselves

The beach itself is very pretty but unfortunately the food and the service was really not good.
The staff was really unfriendly and we had to wait very long to get water or other things (even after asking multiple times).
The food was also not great apart from the burger which was a good size and tasty.

Could not express bigger disappointment from this place! We have spent literally 2 hours on the sun waiting for two sunbeds, we were patient while other people without reservations were given places before us! Such a disrespectful situation. When we asked the hostess what we are waiting for, she did not give us an answer! She was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we asked her also until what time the reservations are kept, her answer was: depends! Depends on what? This is not professional at all. Really unpleasant experience, I would avoid it at any cost!

What’s the best way to get to the beach? Can you get there by public transport?

Grazie

The price for hire now is 50 Euros for 2 beds and an umbrella.
Not even clean.
The guys servicing the beach look and act like bouncers.
Spoken to a good few people that have had the experience of visiting this beach and none have been impressed.
It certainly looks like the majority of the good write ups have been bogus or written by people with more money than sence. Compare the hire charges with other islands, 8 to 15 Euros normally.
Is anyone seriously telling me they are happy with this setting?
Take the bamboo fascade away that runs behind the dirty beds and it's a real mess of a place. But let's face it, isn't that Greece in general? At least the rest of the country doesn't charge like a wounded Bull for their faux paradise.
