I had such a great time with Mykonos Diving Center! Originally I was there to complete my open water diver certification, but after completing it I decided to complete my advance open water as well. Costas and his team (Marita, Silvia, and Andreas) were wonderful, patient, and overall great instructors. The open water dives I went on were always fairly small groups and I often had a lot of 1:1 time with my instructors. They also offer pick up and drop off, making it convenient for you to get there. I would highly recommend this dive center, it’s been in Mykonos for at least 30+ years and you really feel welcomed when you’re there!

Tip: If you decide to do an activity or course there, it’s better to bring cash as they’ll charge a 5% fee for credit cards.

Thank you, Lisa! It was an absolute pleasure diving with you and seeing you progress throughout your courses, and not to mention having you around the dive shop. We hope you enjoy Naxos and see you next time!

I arrived in Mykonos on a cruise ship and had about a half day on shore, so I pre-booked a dive with them online well in advance of getting on the ship. They advised a meeting place and a back-up meeting place where I would be met and taken to the dive shop. It was not a very calm day and winds were causing some swells when we arrived in port so I was not overly optimistic that we would be diving at all. I went to the designated location (which was very easy to locate and about a 5 min walk from the dock) and was collected right on time. As the dive shop was on the opposite side of the island the wind was offshore, so diving close to shore was not a problem at all. Once we arrived I was provided with my gear and 'paperwork' and we had a chat about the dive and what I could expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they had a unique tradition; when you tip the dive-master, you ring a bell. So I rang the bell and was rewarded with a applause that came from all of he staff in various locations in the centre; a nice touch. I was also given the "VIP" treatment and they carried my gear out to the boat that was anchored just offshore (in chest-deep water). I would certainly recommend the Mykonos Dive Center to anyone who will find themselves there and would like to get a dive-or-2. Great place, great people.

My wife and I did a night dive and a wreck dive on our way to our Advanced OWD PADI certification. Two of our best dives. We saw a lot of fish at night, including shrimp, octopus, and slimy crawl in things. The wreck dive was simply amazing. Kyle is a great instructor, Ben (great sense of humor) is great at giving the right information during the pre dive briefings. Equipment is top. I highly recommend them. We are going back tomorrow for two more dives! I cannot wait

Hey- so I got certified by George. It was very helpful. I reached out with additional questions and updates when I went dry suit diving in Iceland and then again when I came to Tenerife.

I received a less than kind response. I wish I hadn’t come here to learn how to dive, I thought I found a teacher I could learn from, but I think he just cared about the $$.

Honestly it makes me sad.

My husband and I booked a dive in advance for our trip to Mykonos in September. We ended up paying a deposit before getting any information from the dive company about what dive sites we had the option of. This was a little frustrating, as you cannot inquire without paying a deposit from their website.

When we arrived we filled out all the paperwork and another couple joined us. Our dive master's name was Timon I believe and he showed us what kind of area we'd dive in. He said it was a new site and they had found some eels.

He asked if there was anything he should know before we went and I said I was a beginner diver and my ears bothered me some if I descended too fast and he said ok.

When we got to the water and started descending i had a problem with my mask, it kept flooding and it was hard to equalize my ears so I ended up taking longer than I should have. He was very frustrated. We started swimming but I couldn't see much other than tall seaweed on the bottom and my mask was still flooding. I told my husband I was about half way getting low on air and when the dive master checked my tank he was furious. He immediately rushed me back to the surface and I had to share his air. At the surface I said I was sorry my mask flooded and I ran low on air and he left me there to swim back to the boat while he went for the others.

My husband told me when he came up his regulator wasn't working properly and main one kept flooding so he had to use his secondary that's why he couldn't share air with me. When we got back to the boat I told everyone what happened but the dive master gave us dirty looks and ignored us the whole time.

When we got back to the shore he stormed away into the office of the shop and refused to come out. The staff were really rude about it and didn't really care that we had a bad experience. We washed our gear, said goodbye and left.

The other couple we were with felt bad for us but they were fine, they said they'd had problems before with masks so it was no big deal and it happens to everyone. They couldn't understand what the dive masters problem was and why he was being so rude.

Let's just say I think this guy has an attitude problem and a major ego. If he only wants to dive with experienced professionals then maybe he shouldn't be a dive master on a vacation beach. And what he took us to see was pretty much crap, no eels, just lots of seaweed. I think anywhere you go in Greece would be better than Mykonos.

Overall just a bad experience with no professionalism on their part. We won't be back.

This dive team is truly comprised of individual who have emotional issues.
The dive master was continuously touching every item he could under the water which is a No-No to even a novice diver. There lack of respect for diving shows with their lack of knowledge wi th diving. On the boat ride to the dive sight, none of the tanks were bolted down in the boat. It is clearly an accident waiting to happen. After the dive master gave me a few tips I elected to share this information above with him and he got upset like a 12 year old child. REALLY unprofessional. My motto is don't give out advice if you can't take it back.

The bad thing about this sight is that we had beers after the dive. The dive master and his team were still sore about the criticism and asked me to buy them a beers(which they were not sharing their beer with me). When I refused, the got physical. Agiain this dive team is composed of individuals who need to grow up and become men. Very sad when I am your customer and you result to physical intimidation. They clear are misfits in Mykonos and Padi should review their processes to conduct dives. I recommend you select one of the other dive companies on the island.

We stopped here on our cruise through Greece. We had booked 2 divers and 3 snorkelers and also paid a hefty fee for transportation. I have to say that Costas, that I arranged the day with, was very nice and it took us a little while via email but we finally had the arrangements made. He showed up first at the meeting spot and picked up the 2 divers, saying someone else was coming for us. Mr. Personality, who was also the boat driver and sounds like possibly a dive master in some circumstances, showed up to pick the snorkelers up. I don't understand why grumpy, rude people are in an industry where they will have to deal with others, especially paying customers.

We filled out all of the paperwork and had our briefing. Mr. Personality told us not to expect anything like the Caribbean here. Check.

My husband and dad went on the dive and were annoyed the whole time because she kept giving them the signal to check their buoyancy and stay super close to her. All they were doing is exhaling to sink a little and take a closer look at something. Safety is one thing but this seemed to be altogether unnecessary. My husband asked me to make sure I wrote this because he didn't like the entire thing so much. We didn't tip. I can't think of the last time we did that and my guilty American conscience had a hard time doing it but overall I would not recommend this company to others. It was not worth it.

Although we followed Costas' confirmation letter to the letter and waited by the customs gate on the dock-side we were not picked up at the right time and almost missed our first dive. We were told that other people on the ship had been picked up at another locale, (to be used if the ship tendered instead of docking) Remember no refunds under any circumstances. The dive masters, from their non-verbal, clearly wanted to be somewhere else. Otherwse well organized dive center. Very clean. New equipment. Idyllic surroundings. The only good thing was that my wife and I have two more dives under our belts. Not totally enthralled with our dive day.

Terrible...from my experience
Lazy staff people, zero enthusiasm or passion at all, combined with a mediocre place to dive, bad combination. Second dive was a maximum depth of 7.5 m, a total joke. Extremely disappointing. If you are a serious diver, don't ever go here, choose Alonissos or Santorini instead, you will thank me later.

Dear Kari, First and foremost, let us offer our sincerest apologies for your dissatisfaction with the experience you had with us. Our goal as a dive center is to provide our customers with the optimum diving experience. We strive to focus on building strong relationships with our customers, creating a fun and enjoyable environment, whilst still adhering to PADI’s code of safe standards and practices. Your strong language and comments certainly reflects your unhappiness, but be sure that we take all reviews very seriously, no matter how caustic or unfair they might be. To address your main concern, our diving locations are selected each morning based on a number of factors. We tailor our dive plan on a daily basis based on weather conditions as well as to the average level of all the divers participating. We followed a standard dive profile, completing your deepest dive first followed by a house favorite on paradise reef. Unlike other tropical or semi-tropical destinations such as Florida that you have dived before, the Mediterranean differs in that it offers a variety of macro marine life. Being a nursery this shallow dive allows divers to take their time exploring all the little things this site has to offer. Emphasis is not given on a depth hunt but rather on enjoyment and safety. I am sure you will agree that as an experienced diver, if you enjoy diving for what it is, it does not make any difference how deep you go. You can still have fun and enjoy yourself as long as you are under the water… observing all local native marine life. We pride ourselves in being the only PADI five star facility on the island and offer our services accordingly with personalized attention from our staff over the last 27 years with thousands of satisfied customers. Our 2015 Trip Advisor Excellence Award testifies to this! We would like to welcome everyone, to visit our Facebook page for more information about our dive center with photos and more… We sincerely hope we have addressed your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to bring them to our attention. We look forward to see you diving in Mykonos again soon, hopefully under better conditions, as we believe we have a lot to offer to both novice and experienced divers alike.

We have chosen this diving centre through their website because of the locations they offer, which are different from the other options in the island. The diving spots were recommended in PADI website so we were very thrilled to go there. Upon the confirmation of our reservation, we were informed that we were not going to be able to go to the place we had chosen. However, as we have asked for boat dives we were still excited. Getting there they told us that we could only do beach dives, and the price was the same as a boat dive (even though they save money with gas and all).
We went for two dives in very shallow areas, close to the shore, and not so much marine life. It can be an ok option if you are doing a discovery dive, but definitely a boring option (and expensive!) choice for certified divers.
The two instructors were very friendly, and the second one (David) did quite some effort to show us the little marine life it exists there.
I would certainty not recommend this place for certified divers.

To address your main concern, our diving locations are selected each morning based on a number of factors. As per our email correspondence we stressed the fact that we are unable to promise specific dive sites. We are aware that you communicated your preference for boat diving, however, safety being our primary concern; we were unable to launch the boat due to winds from the south. Therefore we tailored our dive plan accordingly. Being a novice diver you can understand how experience and qualifications play a huge role in structuring a dive plan. We followed a standard dive profile, completing your deepest dive first followed by a house favorite on paradise reef.
