An unexpected excursion...but what a brilliant experience! 👏

We intended to book a trip to Elafonissi, but the booking rep suggested that we give these guys a try instead. What a good shout that proved to be! We had a ball from the moment we clambered in to the back of the Land Rover. 'Dennis', our intrepid driver, was brilliant...a proper character, friendly, enthusiastic and with superb knowledge of the island. There were regular stops throughout the trip, plenty of opportunities for photos and to stretch the legs. The visit to Preveli Beach was great, but be prepared for a trek along some steep steps to get there. Lunch at a taverna in Spili was also a highlight, even if the Raki is an acquired taste. It also helped that we had a really good set of safari companions...and the group rendition of Dennis's favourite song 'Last Christmas' will linger long in the memory...though not necessarily for it's quality. Efcharistro 'Dennis'. 👏

Never a dull moment.

For us, no holiday in Rethymnon would be complete without a trip with these guys. Yes, we have heard all the jokes, seen all the sights and been informed on the history but the drivers manage somehow to make it all new for us. The lunch was superb, with endless wine - in fact the wine was so good that I purchased a litre from the restaurant (at a very good price too!) Many thanks to Stavros and his great team. We will be back next year!

Amazing trip

I really wanted to know a little more about the life of the Cretan people, their everyday life. Certainly, the best choice was this Land Rover safari in the central part of Crete from Rethymno to the coast of Preveli. I don't want to reveal all the details ☺️, but you should know that Dionysos, our driver, managed the whole day very professionally; many real stories, and facts about the island, but most importantly; Dionysus has a good sense of humor. The whole day is a huge and unforgettable experience in my life. Thanks Dionysos!

Fun day out

Our safari Land Rover trip was an excellent day out, voted by all four of us of us the best day of our holiday. Our driver Dionysius was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We throughly enjoyed the beautiful beach and gorgeous views . The taverna food and wine were scrumptious, we even got to hold baby goats which was definitely a highlight. We made friends with the family who joined us on our trip they were great fun and we all ended up singing together, we would highly recommend this trip to anyone, my mom and sister we unable to do the walk to paradise beach but it did not spoil the experience for them as there was a beach right by where the land rover parked. We would all highly recommend this day out to anyone.

Off-road by Land Rovers through Rethymno region.

I booked a trip the day before, that’s why there wasn’t a chance to choose group...So we’ve got into the German group, but that wasn’t a problem thanks to Dionysus, he was translating for us everything the guide said complementing by interesting stories and facts. Beautiful places, small traditional and atmospheric villages, many kinds of spices (flavoring) growing right along the side of the road (we constantly stopped to smell this spices and guess what kind of spice it is), and, of course, beautiful Preveli palm beach.
The day was full of fun with songs, interesting facts (on the base of which it was QUIIZ at the end of trip) and with jokes that kept the laugher going through the day...and again thanks to Dionysus.

Amazing time in Cretan paradise!

Thanks to a great and friendly guide, Manolis, we spent a wonderful day, get to know hidden places and learnt many interesting facts about Cretan culture, traditions, history and nature. For my 9 years old daughter it was one of the best day on the Island. Thank you for a high quality and safe trip through the Crete!!

Unmissable day trip

Best thing we’ve done in Crete so far - my boyfriend and I enjoyed every minute. Dionysus was an amazing guide, really informative, entertaining and just kept the good vibe up all day. He had us singing and laughing the entire time. You get to see some really beautiful scenery up in the mountains that you probably won’t see otherwise. It’s lovely visiting a couple of the villages, trying Raki and learning so much about Crete and Rethymno. There is a 5 minute walk to Preveli Beach which is a little bit uphill - it’s not too difficult and you get to take some amazing pictures but it might be slightly harder if you have small children in tow. All in all amazing trip, amazing guide and amazing day - I would recommend again and again.

Sunset Tour- visited a local village, monastery watched the sunset with local goats and then had a wonderful local meal

We’ve just got back from the sunset tour which was wonderful. Dionisis AKA Denise or George Micheal 😜 was a great guide and engaged with us as a family, sharing lots of local information. The sunset was amazing followed by wonderful food at a traditional local taverna.

Prevali route safari tour

We had a fantastic day with our guide Dionysus. He is very knowledgeable and made the trip fun and interesting for our young daughter. We made lots of little stops to see canyons, lakes, and traditional villages, and a longer stop at Prevali beach. The views were stunning throughout. The tour included a simple but satisfying lunch in a taverna. Many thanks Dennis for a memorable day!

Best drivers for safari in Creta

We took two trips: Sunset safari and Rethymno Land Rover Tour. Both were fantastic. We met 4 drivers who make our days wonderful: Stelios, Stavros, Dyonisos and Mihail. Stelios is a friendly, warm person. Stavros is a joyful and pleasant one, Dyonisos, driver, singer, storyteller was fantastic, and Mihail a discreet but nice presence. Is impossible to establish a top ten between them, but we recommend a tour in Creta with this people!
