Lovely Venetian harbour, very pleasant to walk around, especially on a sunny day in early November. Some of the restaurants pester you to eat or drink, but go to Knossos Taverna, no pestering and great food at a very reasonable price.... family owned...

We visited Rethymnon and spent a pleasant half day here around the harbour and the old town. It is very picturesque and there are amazing narrow streets leading back from the harbour towards the Venetian fortress.
