This has been our 4th visit with my partner in Crete. We normally enjoy going out of the hotel and we usually do not book mass market excursions. This was proposed to us by our TUI Rep as an Adult only excursion to explore the “hidden secrets of Crete” and we got very excited to book it. It is totally worth every penny ! It was very intimate for us and you get to know the grandmother of the owner and they cook for you amazing Cretan food. We got to meet also many locals during the road trip. The scenery on the mountains is memorable. For us was the best way to experience the real Cretan lifestyle.

This trip was fabulous from start to finish. We were collected promptly from our villa and taken on the most scenic tour of rural Crete. Dora, our tour guide filled us with interesting local information throughout. Wonderful local food and drink in abundance. Even a small souvenir of the trip given to us at the end of the day. Everyone was keen that their customers were happy throughout, and indeed they were. If you want to see and experience real Crete this tour is a must. Although possibly not the cheapest available, it was real value for money. Worth every penny, and you make new friends too. Thank you to all the team who looked after us so well, especially Yannis, Michael and Dora.

This was a once in a lifetime experience! Great Crete team knowledgeable, engaging and provided us with an amazing day in Crete's Mountain & villages. We saw the sights, but truly felt we had a “local” perspective. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see and experience real Crete!

Great experience!!! Super Team. All very symphatic. Wonderful view, quiet place in the mountains. Lovely cooked regional homemade food was served. All tasted delicious.

This tour was amazing ! Our highlight was meeting the grandmother of George in Episkopi village, treating us with local sweets and telling us stories of her past. If you want to really meet locals this is one of a lifetime experience, authentic and non touristic. At mittato the lunch was one of the best culinary experiences we ever had. Well done for the great idea, we will be back and we think of this day often. A memorable dining experience.

Wow! This is an absolute must. A huge thank you to the Great Crete team (Dora, Michael and Gianni) for making this such a special day for us. Great value for money.
We saw the real Crete with its history, culture and traditions in addition to the fantastic views from the highest points. We had Grandma's pancakes and then the boys treated us to barbecued lamb cooked on an open fire with a host of side dishes. And one or two glasses of raki.
We made new friends (including Graham and Sue our fellow travellers) and the memories and the laughs will stay with us for ever. Did I mention the raki?

We have booked this trip as we wanted to experience the cretan countryside and we recommend it to anyone that wants to experience the true Crete! Picturesque villages, hospitable people and delicious food! It was amazing! Thank you so much!
