A daily trip to Chrissi island by Christina boat is an unforgettable -must do- experience! We travelled to Ierapetra at early September & Chrissi (also known as Donkey island)was in our bucket list. We’ve booked our tickets with Christina traditional boat. The stuff is very friendly & helpful, the lunch (yes there was also a Greek lunch!) was delicious! We had a unique, secure & very pleasant day! We highly recommend a trip with Christina boat, especially at September.. Locals said it s the best season to visit.

Today me and my girlfriend were together on epic adventure on Chrissi island with CHRISTINA boat. This tour was definetly worth it. The boarding time was to 11.30AM so you don't have to wake early after night at bar. When the sail starts we met that young handsome man who works on the boat and he takes some nice photos of me and my girlfriend, other boat crew was also nice and always smiling. When arrive at first stop we swam like 50m to the beach ( you have to swim to the island because for boats it's forbidden to stop on the beach) but it doesn't matter we know it before and we were ready and it makes this cruise much better adventure! We definetly recommend you to take shoes to water and glasses&snorkel so you can watch many beutiful fishes on the way tk the beach whole swimming or if you are as us you can snorkeling around all the time :D. Shoes to the water aren't necessarily but the sand is really hot on the island so I would recommend to take them. On the island there the most beutiful flora that you couldn't see anywhere on the island and the mussels you can found every in the sea or on the beach are amazing souvenir (but be careful, some mussels are habitat for small crustaceans, so ones which are inhabited must be left in the sea, trust me you will find many empty that you can take with you ;) ). After first stop on like 1.5h we came back to the boat and there was already waiting feast ready for these who paid full price and it was worth it! Excellent Greek specialities like their salat with feta, rice with meat balls, something with cream cheese that I don't know it's name but it was delicious. After we end our feast the boat moved to the next location to the other side of island and this second place was maybe better then the first stop! There was a cave that we explored and see a crab and many other small big fishes that swam with us all the time. We end up exploring island until we were almost burnt by the hot sun that shines above our heads all time and then we came back to the sea and continue snorkeling few more times. After we came back to the boat there was waiting surprise for all of us, it was really the sweetest and biggest water melon we ever had and it was nice sweet dot at the end of our journey. By the way even if you don't pay full price you have available drinks like coca cola , fanta , water and rose&white vine yummy.

And I forget to say that for me the best part was that you can jump from any part of the boat so if you are like me kind of water person :D it will be the greatest time of youre vacation on Crete!
Highly recommend for everyone on solo trip, with friends or youre gf/bf.

Unforgettable memories on the Christina Boat to Chrissi Island last year. We were hoping and had booked to travel back to Crete in 2020 and revisit Ierapetra and travel once again with friends to the beautiful Chrissi Island but because of the travel ban placed in Australia we are unable to visit this year. We called and rescheduled for 2021. See you then - looking forward to the swim stops and the beautiful food on the boat.

Christina Boat not only takes you to Chrissi Island but offers much more!
The reservation process went very smooth and we were welcomed on the boat by a huge smile from Gala :-) We sailed for about 1 hour to the island where we spent enough time to admire the beauty of the place and to have a swim in 'like Caribbean' sea! After that, we hopped onto the boat again with a few other people where we were served lunch near a beautiful beach on the East coast. There were several Cretan dishes and unlimited drinks (very nice local wine!) so plenty to fill you up and to try local cuisine. Later in the afternoon we picked up the rest of the passengers and stopped again on the North side where everyone could enjoy jumping off the boat and try this delicious wine and fruits.
We had a lovely time and wish we will be able to visit this magic place again with Christina Boat! Thank you!

There were 8 of us in total (2 families). Reservation made by email: quick response and clear information.
The crew was very friendly, and took the kids on a fishing trip when they arrived on Chrissi. They also took care of people who were seasick during the crossing.
We did not take the meal plan to make the most of the island, and ate our picnic on the boat.
We made two stops on magnificent beaches, with incredible water colors.
The boat is more intimate than the ferry, even if the price is a little more expensive (it seems to me that the price is €27 compared to €35 per adult for the Christina), and the beaches visited are much less crowded.

The Christina boat remains authentic and far from these large mass ferries where 300 people collapse on it. There you are on a typical Greek boat with more or less 40 people which is perfect. The crew is super friendly, attentive and sprinkled with humor (at the front of the boat it's fun)
We arrive in a swimming pool of turquoise water near Chrissi Island... the call to dive is inevitable and in 5 minutes of swimming we arrive on the paradise island of Chrissi.
We took the first formula for €35 (cruise, drinks and fruit on the boat) and we had our own lunch box.
There will be 2 stops in 2 turquoise and sublime places. Don't forget mask and snorkel (and even airtight pocket for the cell phone)
Everything is perfect
Thanks to the crew for this superb day.

we spent a great day on board of Christina Boat, it was indeed magic 🙂 the boat is a traditional wooden one, very beautiful and also comfortable. the crew is extremely friendly, they did their best to make our day the best, the food was delicious and also a very warm atmosphere during lunch break. we loved swimming and jumping right from the boat and also the island itself is a paradise! absolute must see 🙂

Be careful, positive reviews are misleading, just like the services. This was undoubtedly true at one time but obviously times are changing.
Clarification: the site is absolutely wonderful to see. In summary :
- we were told there would be 20 people at the time of booking and there were 40 of us with already a group of 24 people. And frankly, the boat is not very comfortable and too small for 40.
- by taking the most expensive option, the description announced an additional stop (compared to the simple option). This additional stop also concerns the simple option so it is not necessarily worth paying more. Note that the most expensive option includes a perfectly good Greek meal. However, we can regret the used plastic water bottle to serve a little white wine. A little pause to wonder if the container was not intended for a medical analysis laboratory.
- absolutely no explanation provided on the island. Not a word from the captain except to sound the horn for 2 swimmers who were slow to return to the boat. Not a word to say goodbye.

When I read some comments, it makes you wonder if there aren't 2 teams on this boat. One is kind, charming and honest in relation to the description. And the other rustic, borderline unpleasant and not honest about the service.

But the island is absolutely wonderful and I felt like I was traveling back in time to these heavenly beaches, with the added bonus of a trip with a band of pirates.

Beautiful boat trip that is definitely worth doing. Just a pity that there were people with them who could not hold back and wanted to show that they had a different "background". Also all praise to the skipper and his crew on board. The sea was a lot choppy on return due to the wind so the boat went up and down and back and forth! Perfect sailing skills from the skipper got us through this in one piece. Despite the storm still made the 2nd stopover, and some disagreed. Nice for them, but the complainants were the people who had not paid for lunch and the people who had paid for lunch wanted to do the 2nd stopover. Nonsense really because there were people who felt that they were entitled to eat with them when they had not paid for it. Looked their way annoyed several times, but of course that didn't do any good and the @so's just kept going! Again, wonderful trip with a great skipper and crew. But what had gone with it made the day a lot less enjoyable
