    Don’t miss it!
Cretan family run business built from the ground up. Extraordinary tasting of local wines made of the native grapes of Crete. Tasting room views are stunning. Had the privilege of meeting the owner/founder during our visit. Very special indeed.

    Most unique wine tasting ever!
First winery we visited on Crete & when we drove up were a little nervous about it. But once inside the beautiful tasting room with it's great views of the surrounding country side & vineyards we knew it was going to be a great experience. We are very experienced wine lovers from Napa/Sonoma area of California & never had we visited where there were so many varietals we had never even heard of let alone experienced (11 indigenous to Crete!!). And the wines are very, very worth the trip! Favorite whites were their Vidiano & Melissinos white (blend of Thrapsathiri & Sauvignon Blanc), but their Assyrtico, most famous on Santorini, was also excellent. Two reds, Kotsifali & Melisskipos red (Kotisifali, Mandialri blend) were outstanding. An additional bonus was some very tasty charcuterie boards! Both our tasting person & one of owner sisters were very attentive & informative. We heartily recommend visiting this winery when you are in create. Larry & Beverly Davis

Amazing experience! Don’t miss out on this place!
We had the most incredible experience at Domaine Paterianakis! We visited this place and we were absolutely captivated by its coziness and breathtaking views. I mean it when I say that the moment we tasted their wines, it was as if we were transported to another world – the flavors were beyond compare. The highlight of our visit was the home cooked food that left us craving for more. It perfectly complemented their exceptional wines. And speaking of exceptional, one of the owners, who is incredibly sweet and welcoming, made our visit truly unforgettable. She was beyond sweet and kind! We chatted for a while and she told us about Domaine Paterianakis history and that generation after the other looked after this place! If you’re seeking a slice of paradise, look no further than Domaine Paterianakis. The combination of stunning surroundings, outstanding wines, and home cooked meals is an experience that should not be missed. I encourage everyone to come and discover the magic of this remarkable place.

    Absolutely Wonderful!
Absolutely a great time, learning about Cretan and other grape varietals. Such a lovely and quaint property with a stunning view over the valley, the whole experience was fantastic as we were talked through the family history of the winery. Would absolutely go back again.

A great experience in a darling winery!
Excellent service in a darling winery. 5 wines taste. Excellent food available for purchase. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. A car is necessary for access. Gorgeous views. Our server, Chrissa, was a real sweetie. Her English was excellent and she ex-plained everything thoroughly. We were really the only people there. I made a reservation, but it really was not necessary. Would visit again!

An indulgent visit to Domaine Paterianakis
The decor was lovely and welcoming, the view was jaw-dropping, and the food and wine lived up to expectations. We went for 5 wines to taste, which also came with homemade snacks and a cheese platter. Our guide was friendly, knowledgable, and had a good sense of humour. We bought a bottle of their natural red wine to take home. Worth a visit when you are in Crete!

Relaxed wine tasting experience with amazing views
I, along with my husband and two daughters aged 19 and 21, have just had the most lovely relaxed lunch and wine tasting experience at Domaine Paterianakis. This is a family run vineyard passed down through three generations. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by Nicky, one of the three sisters in charge. She gave us a tour of the vineyard and then took us to their stunning restaurant with floor to roof glass windows and outdoor patio area overlooking the vineyard. We tasted a range of their organic wines and feasted on a delicious multi-course home cooked lunch with local produce. The family are hardworking and have created a wonderful place in which to relax and savour some beautiful wine. Would highly recommend making time to come and visit - it’s worth it.

    This is a must. Fabulous!
Excellent wines in a beautiful venue. Our guide, Kostas took us to this gem out in the country. We were warmly greeted and introduced to delicious organic wines. The setting is magnificent. The olive oil we tasted was excellent. I bought some to take home. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful family owned winery where you’ll get to taste well deserved award winning wines. Enjoy!

    Great wine tasting and tour
We loved our time at Domain Paterianakis! The family who owns the winery were very nice and accommodating of our family of 7 (10 months old to 71 years old). We enjoyed a tour of the winery then a wonderful wine tasting and food paring. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by when you are visiting Crete!

We paid 50€ for tasting 3 rather small portions of natural wine. The wines themselves were okay, however the hostess provided only the bare minimum information about the wines. The whole experience felt rather underwhelming. The service was not up to a standard that one would expect for such a price. The ‘winery tour’ was essentially a 15 minute trip into the cellar with very little information about the wine making itself, just the very basic stuff, did not even include a trip out into the vineyards. Can’t in all honesty recommend. You’re better off going to other wineries around Crete, which are not only better value for money, but also will provide the experience one expects from a wine tasting at an estate.

We tasted some wonderful wines at Domaine Paterianakis. The tasting was led by Niki, one of the sisters who own the winery. She was gracious, charming and, not surprisingly, very knowledgeable about the history of the winery, its vineyards and its wines. The tasting was conducted in the winery’s main building, which has a lovely dining area overlooking a large part of the Peza winegrowing region, filled with olive trees, vineyards and, in the distance, the island of Chrisi. A delightful experience!

A wonderful sunny autumn Sunday was enhanced by the opportunity to visit Domaine Paterianakis, which is surrounded by a colourful countryside and has photographic view. We tasted many of the produced wines, which were skillfully presented by the cordial staff. It surely is a worthwhile visit that we will definitely repeat.

Our excellent guide recommended this vineyard on a trip through the Cretan countryside. COVID has temporarily reduced capacity at many of the establishments in Crete but the owner Nikki welcomed us as my wife and I were the only people at the time. You would think we were family by the treatment she gave us. The tasting was awesome and the winery was beautiful. This made our trip to Crete even more meaningful. I highly recommend this place! Very worth the trip and the wine is excellent

We had a wonderful time at Domaine Paterianakis winery. The wines were excellent and the owner was very knowledgeable and attentive. We did a wine tasting and they brought out a board with several different delicious appetizers for us. The view from the wine tasting room is spectacular. I recommend you call a couple of days in advance and have make a lunch reservation. The owners mom is the chef but this must be booked a couple of days in advance. Highly recommend this winery.

We had a very nice time at this winery. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. There was no rush, we could take our time tasting the wines, which were very good. We even got a bottle of their Assyrtiko (dry white wine) even though we usually prefer sweet wines. It was just that good.

It was not too busy, so we got to enjoy the peace and quiet on their spacious terrace, having a great view of the vineyard and surrounding area.

There also was a short tour of the grounds and the cellar including tasting the grapes from the vines.

One of the most interesting wine tasting sessions I've had! We chose the premium tasting of 7 wines + tsikoudia. We could select the wines we wanted to try, which was unusual but fantastic. A very friendly welcome and relaxed tasting, guided by one of the sisters - a keen and knowledgeable lady. Fantastic views too!
