Overpriced tickets, rude staff, and totally unsafe buses... It is better to rent a car than risk your life with the KTEL drivers...

I travel very often from Heraklion to Ayios Nikolaos on the KTEL buses. This is an excellent service. Some buses make fewer stops, so it is worth asking about them.

One of the most developed bus company of Greece, runs the route Herakleion-Sitia-Ierapetra with modern busses and good informed to the public schedules on every bus stop :)
