Good Public Parking Area

There is a nice fountain and public park here next to the water. Many people come here in the evening to watch the sunset from the seawall. There is a large free public parking lot next to the park. I used the GPS coordinates for the Talos Square Fountain to navigate to the car park on our first entry into Chania. I found quite a few open parking places, parked the car and then we wheeled our luggage around the front of the fortress to our hotel. We parked here very day during our 5 night stay in Chania and always found a parking spot.

Nice fountain in a small square

It is the centerpiece of a small square between the beach and Firkas Fortress. We found it while looking for parking.

Quite a nice area to walk around a bit

Beautiful fountain and lookout points over the water.

You can see the lighthouse and a nice area for walking.

Parking, toilet & Hop on/off bus stop close by as well as a small cafe.
