Probably the best money we’ve spent in the two weeks we’ve been here. The whole experience was truly memorable. We did the sunset cruise on the Pershing. Alex skippered us perfectly and after a number of stops at some great secluded spots for swimming and snorkelling he found us our own unique view of sunset which we watched as we motored back into the harbour to capture the iconic views with the lighthouse in the foreground. My two girls have enough Instagram worthy pictures to last for a good while.

Our hotel in Chania recommended this company, and we couldn't have been happier with our day. We rented the Pershing with Captain Yannis, who guided us on our Balas adventure, which included hiking (don't miss the hike up to the Gramvousa ruins), snorkeling, and paddle boarding. Yannis also prepared a delicious fresh fish lunch while we were in the water. Balos was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, and it was so nice to arrive before then bigger boats and have most of the area to ourselves. Yannis was so kind to our two children, and let our toddler sit up with him and "drive" a little. One of the big selling points of the boat was the cabin; our toddler was able to take a nice long nap between Balos and our last two stops. They had advised us on weather, and we were so happy that we took their advice and went on a calm day. The other captains who were on the same excursion that day were nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend this company.

We recently took one of Sea Adventure’s afternoon boat rides. Everything was very-well prepared and all personnel was extremely helpful and pleasant. Our afternoon/evening ride was just excellent and helped us find out within a few hours about some really nice landscapes Chania has to offer.
We have quite extended experience with boat rides in different islands, but this one was way more rewarding.
Highly recommended if you happen to visit Chania.

A wonderful walk in the blue waters of Chania! We explored hidden beaches and caves in the north of Chania that we would not have seen without a boat! We rented the Protagon 20, an all-new boat with all the amenities we could ask for.
We highly recommend Sea Adventure! We will do it again soon!!

We had a fantastic 4 hour trip, speeding between islands with stunning views swimming , snorkelling in the clear water the and even some low level cliff jumping. Our captain Costas so friendly and professional. It was a great trip and the highlight of our holiday in beautiful Chania.

Good thing we chose this boat rental. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The boats were in top condition and we had no problems during our trip. The fair regulation regarding tank refueling was also particularly positive, so we ended up with no unexpected costs. Everything went perfectly and we would definitely recommend this boat rental!

A simply perfect day on a private cruise to several small bays with beaches though we just dived off the Pershing 37. Snorkelling and stand up paddle boarding. We were the only boat at one of the bays with just 1or 2 at others. On the way back we stopped off at 2 islands to swim and see the fish- and the wreck of a WW2 bomber.
Catering was advertised as snacks but so much better- Cretan ours, sandwiches and the best salad we had all week.
Several companies do such tours. Can’t comment on the others but this company is great- a family business with the dad skippering the boat.

This was by far the best day of our 14 day trip in Crete. The staff was wonderful and professional. We had John as our captain. Such a fun person with lots of energy and good mood. He made us a beautiful Greek fruit salad and even though English isn’t his first language we managed well enough to communicate.
The stops at Balos and Kri Kri was amazing and we will absolutely be using Sea Adventure again. 10/10 - thank you so much!!

We celebrated our daughter's 4. birthday on an afternoon to sunset boat trip with much space for all 7 members of our family. Drinks, music, snacks as per our wish! The trip included more than in our plans; a cave discovery, snorkeling in not much frequently visited waters. Thanks to the captain Kostas who spread us much trust, we practiced jumping from the cliffs,while the kids also enjoyed the speeding with the boat for we wanted to visit a variety of places in only a four-hour trip! We will always be grateful to sea Adventure!

We booked full day trip on Marvel 960 through Clicknboat. (Have used this site successfully in a number of other locations).
All of the advertising talked about full day trip with suggested routes including Balos. Paid for trip 9am - 3pm including skipper and fuel. Not cheap.
Trip was actually only around local Chania bays - was told that there wasnt enough fuel in boat for the "long" 1 hour trip to Balos - so spent 6 hours around the very local bays (apparently this trip normally only takes a few hours but we had paid for 6 hour trip....)
Whilst we did have a lovely day and the skipper was friendly - the trip was entirely mis-sold.
Don't use Sea Adventure - there are plenty of other operators!!!

Thanks for the detailed review. I am actually renting a boat with another company in Loutro for a couple of days next month. The rate is 140 euro for the whole day PLUS FUEL and I was wondering if you had an additional fuel cost and if so, what was the amount?

Hi Richard, the rate varies depending on the size of the boat and whether or not You use Yianni as the skipper. The boat we had was the biggest one which was the 10metre rib. I have a boat licence and was going to hire it for a full day for 250 Euros. It has a capacity of 10 and equipped with a 250HP injected motor as well as a back up motor of 15HP. It is fully equipped and has everything on board that you need. Life jackets, swim gear, toilet etc. We chose to use Yianni as our skipper for 2 reasons. One because we had read a review ourselves on Trip advisor and thought going with someone who knows the island would be better than us winging it on our own and two because I wanted to relax and chill out and not have to look after everyone else. Im glad we did because He made it a day to remember. we had two families on board so we shared the cost. It was an extra 100Euros for the skipper but it was well worth it. You can get out of it a lot cheaper with a smaller boat and without a skipper. Have a look at his website, im pretty sure he has a lost of the info on there incuding costs for the smaller vessels. If You need any more specific info just give them a call. I think Maria his daughter works with him and she speaks english. Regards Alan.
