I liked it.. It's small, but very nice.. we took a walk around, nature is amazing, all those lagoons and the salt, recommended..

Very disappointing. Small beach area that was very busy. Some tavernas but nothing else really there and not very picturesque. Only worth a quick visit.

The beach has low water and deeper water. Seems good for all purposes. There' s lots of space and 4-5 tavernas. Free parking.

Well, 15€ for two sunbeds and an umbrella of the worst quality ever- almost sunburnt! 2,5€ for a litre of water! Make sure you bring your own stuff to avoid being ripped off. Kids-friendly water, though not very clean when crowded.

The reviews so far stated 10€ for 2beds+umbrella. When arriving today we were asked 15€ which is horrendous even for such a famous beach. Luckily, many people left again when they heard the price but we felt we already committed money and time, as we...More

This is a special beach close to Chania, Crete. The water is shallow, and the beach attracts both locals and tourists. Its claim to fame is that scenes from Zorba the Greek were filmed here.

The beach is beautiful and peaceful but it is really expensive. 15€ for two sunbeds and a sunbrella which is too small for two person. There is free wifi but its not working and its not free :D

We went a month ago.. So the weather was great.. I think that will be great in October too, cause the local guy told us that the season on Crete stands almost until the end of November..

Hi. I am not sure as I have visited during June and September, not in April, however the Tavernas are used by many of the locals so I would imagine that they are open in April. Enjoy your trip - it's a great place to... More

Not at Stavros, but I did see windsurfers at Elafonisi Beach in southern Crete. And I saw parasailing in Rethymno. I think I saw parasailing in Malia too.
